Campaign promises. Politicians always make them but seldom keep them. That said, here are three campaign promises every candidate for Oakley City Council should make before November, and keep! Promise 1: We promise never to secretly, illegally, and unethically gift a city employee at public expense.

Having heard Ron Borland speak @ Oakley council meetings, met him in person & listened to his campaign promises, I support him 100% in his bid for councilmember. It's high time that Oakley be put back on track to make it a better place to live; to stop all of the corruption in city hall; to prevent the city manager from getting away w/financial murder, etc. Ron Borland understands the issues extremely well, is an honest and upright person and is extremely knowledgeable about what Oakley has been, what it is and what it can be. I strongly support him for councilmember in the November 2012 elections.

If you want a forthright and honest councilmember, one who will work hard to keep Oakley's agricultural heritage intact, stop the rampant corruption in city hall and make ALL Oakley residents included in the political process, then vote for him for a brighter future for Oakley.
