I would like to thank Mullins for sending out a letter stating that the Sanitation fees were going up 100%. Wait NO I AM NOT. 100%? WHAT IN THE HELL?
Send me a letter explaining why. Don't send me a cry rag bitching about how much your criminal empire has cost us in lawsuits. Mr Mayor if it smells like shit it usualy is. This increas smells like shit. Hell as long as your are going to be a criminal might as well rob the tax payers. All the suits are dealing with you and your actions. Save us folks you say you are concerned about and resign. Come to think of it everything that comes from your office smells like shit.

So what, we won get over it! Bill spends this cities money the way he sees fit, if he needs more of it, he is going to get it. We need pay raises at city hall, how do you think we should get it? Raise taxes and fees, that is how it works. So far as all the law suits go, not one of them is with merit, bill has never done anything wrong. You'll see, come the trial, the D.A. will apologize to bill and bob, admit he has made big mistake, and that will be the end of it. If you don't like the law suits, cry to those that are brought the suit, regardless if they are right or wrong, it won't cost bill, it will cost you. Bill won, so most people around here know what a super great guy he is. Hell, he might even bring bobby tisdale back as chief, I hear he is doing better, and when these charges are all dropped, he'll be doing great! All you looooosers just don't like losing, so you make stuff up about bill and bob, you have nothing better to do with your time, you should not have moved to Oakland if you didn't think bill was the greatest man in Tennessee, and tisdale is right behind him. And if you don't believe it now, move away, sooner the better we don't need a bunch of "let's follow the laws" type people out here. Bill mullins built this town with his own two hands, no one would have moved out of shelby county if it weren't for bill. No builders would have built houses here if it weren't for bill. Get over it.

I agree you can't blame the law suits. It appears that the powers within city hall brought them on by their own actions. I'm like you, I have lived her and worked here all my life also. I know what you mean about mullins.

All of mullins supporters say the lawsuits are bogus, but we will have to see how that turns out in court, or settlements. From what I have seen and heard, there appears to be teeth in them.

I have lived in Oakland a very long time myself, I was here when the Mullins family moved here. Crook? I don't think so. State the facts Mad as Hell, don't come on here with BS you pulled out of your A**!!!!

The only law suit I have read about is the former officer suing over wrongful discharge. He was the officer that reported the insurance scam tisdale and two of his officers pulled on the city insurance company, and the people of Oakland.(we must remember, the two low level cops have agreed to a PTD, while tisdale is fighting in court to GET a PTD). On the face of it, this suit has merit, a lot of merit. Who should you believe, three disgraced low life types, or a man that up-held the law? In my mind he should be brought back as the new chief of police. We know of at least one cop in the OPD that would not go along with criminal actions, even if the chief and mayor wanted him to.
So far as the other suits, I don't know anything about them. But, if this suit is similar to the others, the city insurance rated will be going up. The first thing to do is get a new City attorney! This guy is not acting as our attorney, but rather, as mullins attorney. He is not looking out after our tax money, but rather spends his time (charging us for it) defending "flakey" positions, all created by mullins.
I would like to know more about the other suits, if anyone has some info please post!

I have read the letter, mullins puts a lot of blame on defending the last elections results, to the tune of $80,000+!! How could any honest person defend the last election results? The election for mayor was decided by 15 votes, the election commission ADMITS to 30 non-qualified voters being given ballots. A child could do the math. This doesn't even take into account the numerous dead people that voted. If mullins is such an honest person, he would be the first to admit the election was tainted and demand a special election to show the world he won fair and square. Plus, do you think if mullins would have lost by 15 votes and there had been the same 30 "extra" ballots, that he would have challenged the results? Of course he would have, any real American would have, a "clean" election is the basis of our entire way of life.
In short, he has spent over $80,000 of our tax dollars to defend a tainted election because it keeps him in power. In no way is he spending our money to defend American values. He is a crook.

Let me get this straight, Oakland must pay the city attorney large sums of money if the election is protested? We only have to pay one lawyer, why not 6 or 8? Or are you saying we have to pay the state election commissions costs, and the legal fees? This is not, read this again, THIS IS NOT paying "our" towns lawyer!
Any one that has told you that the City of Oakland must pay the town lawyer large amounts of money, and that is the state law, if an election is protested, has lied to you. That is because the county election commission works for the town of oakland regarding the city election. If you dont beleive that call the election office they will tell you.

Regarding, "forget about meyers", why? How much has he cost us in legal fees? These are fees we didn't have to spend. We spent our tax money on meyers, because mullins and mullins alone wanted that money spent. This is the a FACT! Meyers also works for the same law firm that is defending mullins on his mulitple criminal charges (see Grand Jury Indictments), can you say conflict of interest? How about this, we will charge you big on this election fight which the city will pay, but we will charge you small for your criminal defense which you will pay. With mullins history of 3rd party bill back, thus stealing from the city of Oakland, this is right down that road. Remember, mullins was CAUGHT once by the state having the city pay his private legal bills, yes this is true the state auditor caught him, public record, Fact! But for the very poorly informed fools that actually think because there was a challenge to the last election results (based on the facts there should be) that the city of Oakland is required to pay Meyers a big amount of money, they should put their dope away, it is clouding their brain.
