"Bob has filed no report to nobody. This is what Bob told me, and I have no reason not to believe it." Mullins said he would stand behind his former police chief.
Do you think the Mayor is on top of things in our town? If yes-he knew about the insurance fraud, and he knew tisdale was/is a liar. If no-we need a new mayor. When he said he would stand behind tisdale, did he mean when they are in their jail cell? Mullins said, he was ready to get to the bottom of the whole thing. I knew these two were close....
Now that tisdale has begged for a deal, what is mullins saying?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I believe people's belief in certain people can change too. Trust me, A LOT of people who were standing behind the ex-chief have changed their opinion of him.

[looking at the future]

The same people that have changed their minds regarding tisdale, based on the facts that have been made public, along with knowledge they have gotten from private sources, seem not to apply this same reasoning to mullins. I hope they will come around, once they have looked at all the facts, not gut feelings. Sadly, A lot of mullins supporters, support , not because they feel he has done nothing wrong, in fact they know he is a crook. But rather, for their own well being. He hires them, or sends city business their way, etc. They think about their pocket books first, the people of Oakland can just "lump it".
I hope the next mayor and board of aldermen, take the well being of Oakland seriously. Watch every tax dollar, and clean up the OPD. The reserve needs to be abolished, then reformed with high standards. Who you are friends with should make no difference, but rather your qualifications, do you meet the standards? Yes or No. I don't think we have long to wait, mullins will be gone with an over-turned election, or by his criminal conviction soon. I just hope he doesn't rob up blind before then.

The mullins quote in the first post of this string certainly puts mullins in a bad light. But they were his own words, and he will answer for his own deeds. I challenge the "top notch police dept".
Our PD is a joke, they never arrest any real criminals, such as mullins, or tisdale. The never make any drug labs busts (even though we have spent at least $50,000 on drug dogs and SUVs for a K-9 unit), they almost never impound any drunks cars as the other PDs in the area do, they drive home drunk friends of bill, they hand out reserve badges to a large group of boozoos (most do not even live in Oakland) and the list goes on and on. If mullins didn't want people looking at the OPD, then he should not have stated they were"top notch". When you make a statement, as mayor, people tend to think about whether you were telling the truth or not. In mullins case, whether he has started telling the truth. His own words are catching up with him. I remember his statement on TV, "I'll never resign, not in a million years", we'll see.

I suggest you negative beings stop and do some intensive thinking about yourselves. I am willing to bet you have very few friends, no one wants to be around a whiner all of the time. You are letting the mayor, police dept, etc. take your power away. Think about it.

You may be correct, having a police dog killed for the insurance money, then brought back to life, no one should complain about that! Having the mayor 3rd party back bill the town for work he didn't even do, no one should complain about that! Asking others to destroy evidence, destroying evidence your self, etc., no one should complain about that! Having your drunk friends driven home, rather than arrest for DUI, no one should complain about that.
I guess you are right, we don't have anything to complain about. And according to you, when we get a new mayor, he will start back billing the town through a 3rd party for transmission work that wasn't even done, on his first day! The chief of police will kill our police dog (I guess we will have to buy a new one first)collect the insurance money, and then bring the dog back to life, on his first day!
When you really think about it, you are so wrong,we do have plenty to complain about, having our mayor and x chief of police about to go away to prison, should be your first clue.
