The question on this string is simple:
How many Law suits is Oakland Facing,at this time?!1. How many suits?
2. Who is suing us?
3. What are they suing us for?
4. How much in damages are they asking?
5. How much are our legal bills been to date?
6. How much are our legal bills most likely going to be, for each suit?
7. Are we settling any suits?
8. How much have these suits effected our insurance premium?
9. What steps have been taken by the leadership to insure that we are not going to be sued for the same thing again in the future? i.e. is anyone "guilty" of an act or acts that is costing the city? In a sexual harassment suit, if the suit is won by the plaintiff, what if any disciplinary action is or will be taken toward the wrong doer? Will the city continue to have this person on the pay roll? How likely is this to effect a future law suit if this person is involved?
The most important part of this series of questions for me is: The tax payers in Oakland are paying the legal bills etc., Why are we not given this type of information? We are paying for it, but mullins keeps it hidden away. If he is going to blame the law suits for cost increases, common sense, and common decency would dictate that we are told at least what we are paying for.
