Very easy to get arrested in Roseburg. Meanest prosecutors in S. Oregon. No consideration of circumstances, no compassion. Losing one's home is pretty traumatic. He pointed a gun, did not shoot it. In many places that would be counseling and probation. Five years for what!? If he had a lot of money, or status or a large support network this would not be his sentence. Just some poor guy they get away with pushing around. What does it accomplish to ruin an old man's remainining years? Cruel.

I can't beleive this didn't get more attention but that's the way it is in Dougles County. My son was working in california when the wench was stolen off his pickup in Canyonville and when he reported it after he got back the dougles County Shariffs Office said it was just a drug deal gone wrong and would not even take a report.
