Wind farm plan reduced

A wind farm developer is shrinking a proposal to build turbines in Western Maryland, making the project small enough to be exempt from a major environmental review.

Wind developers don't care about birds. They don't care about bats. They don't honestly care about the environment. They care about getting those 40 story turbines up before he federal production tax credit expires.

To many renewable energy experts, wind energy from industrial scale turbines is already considered to be the 8 track tape of renewables. They are also the only renewable that keeps us absolutely gird dependent and reliant on thermal power plants. Coal fired, most of them. Not a single thermal plant has gone off like because of wind energy. But a lot of people have been driven from their homes by the noise and shadow flicker, a lot of bats have died, and the ugly truth is that these machines are bird killers. Several studies done by the windindustry are cancelled once the dead birds start piing up. Birds use air currents and wind to fly and to migrate. 40 story turbines with blade spans wider than a 747 are placed in fly ways. The won't let you do the math. No counting birds on the ground, or bats. An don't even talk about the bugs and the noise. There are better choices!

Learn about wind farms, not from those who stand to make huge money off of the tax credits for wind farm folly!

we have got to go green.
a few birds die but the entirity of our species and all who share this planet will go with us if we do not.
people complain about the veiw being obstructed.
people complain about the birds dieing but where i live we have a very high rate of cancer and we're next to the largest power generating faciliy on the virginia power chain (by the way none of that power feeds our grid)
i've stood right next to the wind mills and heard nothing but the sounds of the 70' blades twirling slowly, they are so slow if a bird manages not to get out of the way then it is survival of the fittest. talk about noise ever been in a powre plant ?
i have, several of them i've seen them dumping toxic sludge into our nations tributaries i've seen the amout of coal it takes to produce energy in just one station.
deep creek has a power plant that the lake feeds.
it's hydro but no complains about the fish kill ratio, because no one can see it.
all of us can stand around bickering (litterally) until oblivion.
so keep buying gas from arabs, keep burning coal for fuel, and try to evolve into a being acclamated to survival in an enviroment much like the surface of venus.
let's act together before we all die of our own trifling idiousy.

by the way since prior to the wind farm errection in our county migratory bird studies were and are being conducted, ive spookin with these people and learned a thing or two that would surpries us all. birds have brains as well as instinct and are capable of altering migratory patterns if needed in order to survive as a species something that in the next fifty years we must find out weather or not we can do this as well
