Plan calls for 260 acres of clearcut
Property owners and conservation groups are concerned about a plan by Sierra Pacific Industries that calls for clearcutting 260 acres of tree stands northeast of Arnold.

Damn you SPI. We have owned a cabin in Calaveras County near Arnold, since 1967. Over the past 10 years you have devastated the forest, tuning it into a patchwork of clearcuts, leaving no contiguous forest. Just take a look at Google earth images of Calaveras County and you will see what I mean. Leave some beauty please. You are heartless greedy corporate pigs. Don't give me this crap that it is good for the health of the forest, as you plant a monoculture of even aged trees, killing all other competing native flora.
