Unfortunately, Repubs and Demcrts alike both feel like we should save businesses who don't know what they're doing.

Yes, however if you have lived there longer then a year your landlord must give you a 60 day notice. Also the market rate plays a role as well and if the unit/house is furnished. In San Francisco landlords wouldn't dare do this without checking the current law.

<quoted text>hemet mobilhome parks have no rent control! i know someone in the santa rosa mobilhome park that has had 3 rent raises in 12 month period of time. the raise was only 15.00 but keep doing that and your space rent will be out ragious sooner or later. someone needs to do something about these mobilhome park owners!
California has the Mobilehome Residency Law (MRL) that provides state laws on percentage of raise and how often a landlord can raise your rent. Contact GSMOL.ORG and you will get some help with your issue.

We need to maximize profits. There will be some collateral damage and some ouchy times...all for a good cause: Profit. God loves a good deal and hates moochers.

My question is i have rented one bed room apartment and i started with $599 and the landlord raised my rent from$599 to $649 in the year 2008 and this coming year i received a notice saying that the rent will be raised from $649 to $659 in 2009 , i just want to know if it right for the landlord to do such a thing or i need to report it, i live in Minnesota.
Wow you got Love! And yes a $60.00 increase in 7+ yrs. is true Love! My rent went from $400.00 to $650.00, I had to move. I couldn't afford the $250.00 mo. increase. Look around rents are increasing all around the country again and unless you have a long term rental agreement with a stipulated amount, the property owner can increase fees anytime with reasonable notice.

We need to move more people in so the rent can be shared. sleeping in rotation is the way to go. my mom was an ama in HK and we slept in the flat of her employer when his family was out and he was at Jardine's all day. There were nine of us and some other folks and we made enough money and saved it all and bet it and now I have a PhD and am making a mint and buying doors(rentals) all over california and will rent them at skyrocketing prices and will make a bigger mint and will be able to determine who gets elected and will reap the benefits taken from the serfs. Hah!
