Whats happened to boone county! It is starting to become more like Grant County. So many of our young people are drug addicts and living off the parents

Thats getting to be everywhere. The kids of today don`t seem to have any respect for themselves or anyone else for that matter. And the parents are just keeping these kids right there at home and handing everything to them.

Agree. My son was heading that way too but I made it clear he isn't living off me like that. He got the message. Don't get me wrong I'd do anything to help him out but not if he uses drugs, can't hold a job, etc. Kids that age (18-19) seem to be like that a lot & is becoming more of a norm not sure why.

Its not just the kids I'm embaressed to say my husband is a crack head. He goes out on payday and comes home broke! Sometimes he just goes to jail. Like tonight he called our daughter to pick him up at the local hooker motel they were gonna call the cops on HIM LOL It is a problem everywhere

We the parents i feel are responsible for our children till the day we die. They are our gift and if it takes longer then normal for them to grow up then help. Get them help if they are on the wrong road in life, don't turn your back on them. I'm sure glad my parents stood behind me when i did my thing. I grew up finally and have a wonderful husband, kids, and grand kids. Remember they make mistakes, thats how they grow.

Aristotle said the same thing in 3000 b.c. Yet, somehow mankind is still here.

Grant County is 98.9% drug infested trash! Just last week David Allen, Mia Smith and a few other were arrested for making meth.. The sad part is her child was there while they were doing it. This type of thing is constantly going on there. These people alone have been arrested in Grant County numerous times. They spend a little time in jail and back to business they go. I would rather live on Vine St in Cincinnati than live there. Are we talking about the same Grant County???

Drugs are everywhere you can't escape it. either you fight it or turn your head the other way which most of the time people just look the other way it's sad. I am 19 and drugs will always be there. I wish it won't be in school the reality is it probably always will. just educate kids young and not wait til junior high to give them the talk. Sammy jo you have more patience with your husband than my family would. My family you have two choices rehab or the streets. my uncle had a problem with meth. His wife died and had two daughters. my grandmother said get clean or there is the door.

I'm sorry to hear that! My husband got in the middle of meth but thank god got himself out. It's my brother in law that is a joke! You can only turn the other cheek when you have done all you can to help and the continue. He steals everything he can get his hands on and could care less. Good luck and God bless

Perhaps if we actually strived to EDUCATE people about drugs instead of spread government propaganda, a system of regulation could be set up and drugs wouldn't run rampant among society. But I suppose keeping everyone in the dark does help with the control factor...

im a twenty year old recovering herion addict an i have seen an been through more things in my life than most of you on this site.. to the parnets who think that if they keep there kids locked up in there rooms the wont do drugs, that just makes them want to do them more they want to rebal against you for being closed minded.. all you have to do to keep your kid from doing drugs is simply to talk to them about it.. weed is not a drug so if your kid smokes weed big deal.. now if he is smoking crack or meth or herion or any other kind of pill than theres a problem.. but just explain to them what happens to kids who start doing drugs.. they ether wind up in jail or dead.. talk to them dont be afraid ..it might be akward but you have to tell them the truth ..they need to know how bad the stuff is .. but in the end its up to them to decide.. an if you caught your kid doing something bust hes butt an explain why its bad.. if all your kid does is smoke weed than your fine ..an wouldn you rather know hes smoking saftley in his room rather than out driving around..if there in high school the have ether smoke weed once or smoke all the time..but weed isnt a gateway drug ..bad advice an bad company are gateways to hardcore drugs..but you as the parent are the ones who can notice when your child is starting to show signs of addiction.. if they wake up in the morning sick some days but not others, if they come home an run straight up to there rooms, if they start skipping meals, or they start wearing liong sleeves all the time or keep there arms bent..or if there eyes are bloodshot or too glossy, there are plenty of ways to tell. but the easiest way is simple to ask them out of the blue.. an just see how the re-act..but dont acuse just ask.. hope this helps someone..
I guess

Drugs would run rampant no matter what system of regulation there is. No one does drugs because of the government, what is legal or whats not. That is why it is called a drug it is a physical and mental dependency. Second what kind of education do drug addicts need. They know more about the drugs, what effects they have on a person, and the outcomes of using them then anyone. They are sick and can only take the help if they choose. No one in America young or old is in the dark when it comes to drugs. Too many families poor or rich are a victim to drug abuse. The only part that the government is not taking in drug activity is cutting the cost of "good treatment center" for people with addictions. So many people in America are not thriving....

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Virgo

You're struggling to get everything finished in time today, making you feel fractious and tired. At some point you may have to take a pragmatic decision about which tasks must be completed today and which will have to be postponed until another day. Do your best to keep things in proportion otherwise you'll waste time in trivial details and needless nit-picking.
