Sex-business ordinance moving along

There are no sexually oriented businesses in Boone County and VeLynnTapia hopes it stays that way.

My wife and I are 58 and 56. We were shocked at the morality policing being done in the entire tristate area. The Supreme Court was absolutely right that these places have a right to exist. Boone County appears to be headed down the same path as the rest of the area. Regular lawbidding tax paying citizens have a right to use these stores and legislating morality should be saved for the Bengals and politicians who seem to need it more.

The Supreme Court justices were merely giving their opinions, regarding the legality of such establishments. They are only guided by man's written laws, rules, statutes, public policy, etc.
Furthermore, the First Amendment doesn't give one the right to do as one pleases. If I stand on the street in front of your house with a sign that declares that you are an ***hole or something derogatory, using your reasoning, I have a right to do so.
Technically speaking, though, we may have a physical right or a legal right to do something, but if that something is immoral, no right exists (unlawful).

Hey genius, the first amendment does give you the right to stand in front of his house and say whatever you want. you just can't incite a riot, I am sure you are familiar with rev. phelps, probably your preacher, he does it all the time.

sounds like we should all stand up against poor parenting!! Weak parents raise weak children. teach them how to be moral, not how to force their morals on others. And to answer your question I don't think about your children when I see those signs, I think about mine. The conversations are identical to the ones when we see a billboard that says repent or burn, or we are all going to hell or christ is the savior. different strokes for different folks. no pun intended:)
