i think its a shame that the city of corsicana wont have the christmas lights in the park this year i understood it was a budget cut it would have been nice to have seen it i wish the city had not spent money on the trolley car at the end of beaton and the rebricking of third street i guess they are trying to bring back downtown corsicana maybe next year.

Well, what can we do to help? I always thought it was a city done project and was quite surprised to see that it was done by just a few volunteers. What a job; how they managed to do such a great job this long, I have no idea.

At this point I just hope the city saves the money they were putting into Christmas lights and is able to put it towards opening the pools for the kids next summer. Of course, it is going to take a whole lot more money than $5,000 to run the pools.

You probably have a lot of extra time.
Some people have to work, you know...

Raise the pool fees. They should be managed like a business, we can not subsidize all these attractions. If there is not money and people don’t want to pay, then close them.

I actually DO work. I just gave you an opportunity to get up off your rear and do something for the community. Instead of complaining about how the city always screws you over (b/c you know you are THAT important), why don't you show everyone that you can think of someone other than yourself.

We are here to provide the “real news” that the local newspaper do not offer to people instead of promoting your group of people only, we are here to raise people’s conscience about how you guys run the city, if you want to call that “complaints” so be it. I think your “selected group” should sponsor all these activities because you are the ones that get more benefits and privileges from this local government and this town, so please do something for the community, you owe them…

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Scorpio

Don't let yourself be caught up in a crowd mentality. Just because someone else makes a major production out of what should be a simple matter, doesn't necessarily mean that it has to affect you adversely. You might be able to bring down the volume with a tap on the shoulder and a meaningful look. Even though it might not seem like it, your cool head is definitely appreciated at times like this.
