"Does that mean Democrat-led wars are OK? " Yes it does. So is Democrat-led deficit spending. These things are only bad if the big bad Republicans are in charge.
Also, if Republican elected officials have a scandal, they are expected to step down while the Democrats who have scandals get re-elected and a pat on the back.

Former Ranger - you bring up an interesting point. I really think the country's preoccupation with the private lives of it's politicians is weird. I couldn't care less who they sleep with - thats between them and their spouses.
I mean, is the Declaration of Independance any less wonderful because Thomas Jefferson was sleeping with his slaves? Are any of Martin Luther King's accomplishments any less amazing because he had a woman in every town? Would Donald Trump become a bad business leader if he cheated on his wife? Shoot, so many leaders sleep around (and other folks too) that it's really just a distraction. Maybe that SC Gov was awesome, maybe he managed the state well and was a good leader, and he loses his job because of an affair? Rediculous. Sleep with whoever you want, smoke whatever you want, whatever - just get the job done.

Democrats don't lead wars. They micromanage them.

Obama is continuing the long tradition of democrat presidents who think they know better than the commander in the field.

LBJ used to stay up late at night to choose the next day's bombing targets.

First the proper grammar is "Democratic" not "Democrat-led". While Peace advocates frequently are Democratic, they also belong to other parties as well.

"Does that mean Democrat-led wars are OK? " Yes it does. It sure does, remember there are always 2 sets of rules in play, one for republicans and one for democrats.
Those clowns out with the signs were there because they hated bush, nothing more, they still can't get it out of their head, no matter what the nobama does they still blame Bush.
Clearly a sign of a mental disorder..

Mike Anderson, I too notice the absence of anti war protesters at Lyndale and 98th on Tuesdays. I'm tempted to go hold up a sign asking where did the protesters go?

Guess they all turned into chicken hawks.

. FDR led us into World War II.

b. Germany never attacked us; Japan did. From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost ... an average of 112,500 per year.

c. Truman finished that war and started one in Korea.
North Korea never attacked us.
From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost ... an average of 18,334 per year.

d John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962.
Vietnam never attacked us.

e. Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire. From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost .. an average of 5,800 per year.

f. Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent.
Bosnia never attacked us.
He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.

Under the right circumstances, the Democrats can be Sgt. York and Audie Murphy times Rambo. There was a little war of which Democrats are exceedingly fond - so much so that they're still bragging about it five years later.
It's a conflict that didn't involve allegations of weapons of mass destruction. The nation we subjugated wasn't a sponsor of international terrorism.(This time, we fought for the terrorists.)
It wasn't remotely related to national security. And the justification for our intervention turned out to be a complete fabrication.
For 78 days in 1999, we bombed Christian Yugoslavia (our ally in two World Wars) to aid Moslem separatists who were tight with Osama bin Laden. Ever since, NATO has occupied its sovereign territory.

True. But since then, they have only made war on women such as Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann and old men like McCain, so it's hard to tell qhat they are capable in a real war except for dithering a delaying action.

The war started as an insurgence against the French colonialists. US involvement started under the rule of Lyndon B. Johnson, a democrat. Kennedy went on and Nixon, republican, finally ended it as the length of the war, the high number of U.S. casualties, and the exposure of U.S. involvement in war crimes such as the massacre at My Lai helped to turn many in the United States against the war.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Pisces

Although you're busy putting the finishing touches to your Christmas preparations, you'll also have to pay attention to someone who's feeling neglected or unloved. Luckily, it won't take much to make this person feel better, so a big hug or a little consideration might do the trick. You should also bear in mind that they may be feeling nostalgic or sad about the past.
