Sorry....just cant seem to feel the slightest bit of compassion.

You served your time? My heart bleeds; how about the victims that will carry the nightmare and emotional scars of what was done to them through life?

We're wasting time on this? Your crime is worthy of the death penalty.

"Johnson said now that he has served his sentence, he wants the opportunity to live his life. He has aspirations of going to college and pursuing a career in computer programming."

Never heard that from a criminal before. Let's see some results; not talk.

"But he said he feels he's being treated unfairly."

Awwww; poor man being treated unfairly by the system. YOU have to man up and find an area that will accept you and your aberrant behavior. That is not; at least should not be, the role of the county. YOU must deal with this mess you made and the people you hurt...for the rest of your life. Sorry it's an inconvenience for you. Most of us with no felonies don't have such difficulties.

I like this program. Let's do the same thing with drunk drivers. Come to think of it, drug dealers too. They'll sell again if released. Lets just skip a step and keep them where we can keep an eye on them.

I agree w/ Doc Savage. How about the victim? Other than time served, he and his family should make pay financially. How about taking his family's assets?

Where is Tejaun's family. He can go live there. Certainly if he committed the crime at 16 that he has a mother, grandmother, father, brother uncle, someone who would kindly take him in. It is not now nor shall it ever be the states responsibiilty to find him a place to live. I heard under the 10th avenue bridge was nice this time of year.

Oh yea thats right he is probably from Chicago or Gary.

Dude you need to get a life and take responsibility for what you did. In real life what you did should have resulted in the death penalty.

Better yet, send him to Iraq or Afghanistan I heard they need some grunts.

The biggest problem is that he wasn't taken behind a shead and put down 11 years ago.

Nowhere in this article did I read any hint of any remorse on this guy's part.

He has the same mindset he had when he was first convicted, thinking only of what HE wants and what HE should get.

No doubt this attitude is a major reason why no one wants this guy living near them.

Too bad, so sad .... NOT.

Hello!!! They are saying he is a Level III. Which means he is of the most likely to reoffend. Served his time, maybe. Learned something from it? Sounds like probably not, or they wouldn't have classified him a Level III. And now everyone is supposed feel sorry for him? Everyone is supposed rally around this poor misunderstood individual?

Give me a break!

Which is exactly why he'll re-offend within 18 months.

Pathetic that we are even discussing discrimination against a guy that raped a woman for hours.

Boo effing hoo. Hopefully he gets creamed by a bus today.

Wannna start talking hate? Rapists are full of hate. He deserves what he gets. Maybe one day the system will learn to keep level III's where they belong, in cages like the animals they are.

If it were someone I knew I would shudder and thank God that I hadn't been the victim of such a creep.

And I assure you that I would be much happier knowing that he was still locked up.

Maybe some of the people that make up the Court of Appeals would welcome him into their homes. After all they feel he deserves to live in public until he rapes again.

Let's not forget, if they keep him in prison until his "expiration date" (DOC jargon for when his probation ends), then he's released unsupervised.
The issue here is not sympathy.
The issue is whether he should have a transition home/phase, during which he would be under close watch while he figures out how to reintegrate -- before being out on his own.
Which would you prefer? Because one or the other WILL happen.

Again, why are they even releasing him in the first place if they believe he has a high possibility of reoffense? Obviously he failed to comply with something, most likely in his so-called treatment. They should have time added on until they can figure out how to comply, and then be monitored for life after that. The victim gets a life sentence, so should he, and he should have to earn his freedom. Why should our neighborhoods be the Petri dishes to see if these animals reoffend? So we can watch the bleeding hearts sit there and scratch their heads when they realize that sitting around in a circle talking about how you didn't get enough warm fuzzies growing up doesn't fix these pigs? And in the process someone else has to get hurt. Treat them, and if they don't comply with treatment, keep them. I am glad nobody wants him. There should be more outrage so things start changing.

It's not a question of whether you feel sorry for him--it's just a question of following the law. Most people would like to lock up rapists for as long as possible, and some people would like to kill them too. This guy has apparently been locked up as long as possible and he's supposed to be released. You don't have to be a bleeding-heart liberal to think that the DOC should follow the law. Conservatives are in favor of that too.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Scorpio

Something that you've always taken for granted or believed implicitly could have a big question mark hanging over it during the next few weeks. The more entrenched your views are about this, the more difficult it will be to accept that perhaps it's time for a change of opinion or, at the very least, a revaluation of what you think. Mercury turns retro in your house of communications, so do your best to be open-minded now.
