Six Killed In City, 3 In Suburbs In Weekend Violence

Six people in Chicago and three in the suburbs were killed by gun violence between Friday and Sunday nights in Chicago.

I would ask why. Yet I think I already know. Guns kill people! Bullet proof vests save lives. Both are Illegal to own without a permit. Vests are moore expensive. So have a Gun for vest trade in. If everyone had a vest chances are good they would survive a gun shot.

If any of those killed were drug dealers or gang banger then.... whatever hurry up and kill each other off... if they were innocent then sad.

In regards to my heart...Darrell.... I just want the public to know that all he was doing in that area was visiting his little girl and was killed. He had just returned to the Chicago area were most of his family still lives after living in Northern Kentucky for almost 7 years to get away from that type of life style and here he worked as one of the best cooks in the area and was raising his youngest daughter. He had made a great, honest life for himself here. He has left behind two daughters and many friends and family that loved him dearly. He was not a violent man and loved everyone he came across and the many people he touched in his short life on earth will never understand how anyone could hurt much less kill a man like him. I just hope that the Chicago Police will find the person or people that took his life away and left his two young daughters to live their lives without their Dada.....

I'm so tired of these guns going around shooting each other. Just last night my pistol and shotgun snuck out of their safe and got in a tussle with the neighbor's Weatherby.

for darrell, he was a 31 year old black male... as in who drove the car that drove past that night and shot and killed him...i don't know if we will ever know. sometimes i feel as though the police just look at it as another one they don't have to worry about.(because of the area it happened in) maybe that isn't fair to say but for where i live and being a white female i know for a fact that the investigation would be way more intense. it is just very sad to me. i was one of the lucky ones in life that discovered blindness to color...just see the good or bad in the person...a good one was killed that night....
