LOL! Now here's the trick for the TOPIX puzzle. Everything marked with a star has a bonus chance. I just learned that by taking the time to read. And beware, for some reason, people hate the high points people. It is universal on TOPIX. I don't get it. Takes about 30 mins in the morning to max points.

If I win one week I move to another forum so others get a chance. Not that I'll always win. LOL. It's those 100 one-pointers that kill me. They take an hour alone, I'm slow. Then if you try to go faster you get the stupid warning to slow down. Geez. I want to speed the thing up. And the longer you play, the more boring it becomes. I've also had increased problems with spyware and adware being extracted my site protection. My Google search engine even redirects to some other crap now, which I hate. But do enjoy the game!!*NOTWF*

Doesn't take me that long to do all 100, about 15 minutes. I think the cookie erasing is what kills that timer thing. The hardest thing is the props. I haven't maxed points fully yet because I might get 3 props per day. I'd probably have to make 5 accounts for that but I am not that into the game lol.

Accumulating points is a game instituted by Topix to make it more interesting. The avatar who collects the most points from posting, giving and getting points, props, etc will wear the crown for one week. I am not sure if you have to be officially registered or not to win.

I think you do have to be registered. I know you can't give props or receive them without being registered and to get badges you also have to be registered. Actually, I kind of feel like they put the game in place to encourage registration. After seeing online all the anti-Topix sites and petitions to close the site down, I figure Topix will most likely become a fully moderated and registered users only site before much longer. I knew the site had trouble in the past over cyber-bullying laws being broken here. I sincerely hope they do make a change toward at least requiring an email to post anything at all. People will still have multiple accounts, but will have to sign out and back in and create emails to post as different people. If you read a lot of posts it is kind of ridiculously obvious that single entities are posting numerous times as if they are multiple people. I think if that is made harder, Topix will be more successful. If they don't change they are going to lose the advertising revenue. Anyways, the game makes it more interesting and is addictive. It really serves no purpose but to amuse those of us with free time on our hands in between chores. I have come to like Oak Hill Topix people (most anyways, I think some are a bit harsh for no reason at all). But really, the game is no different from playing on Pogo or Big Fish or solitaire from work. Only, this posting part requires some reading and some thought.

Every time a page is clicked Topix or any other site for that matter makes money.'Points' is a clever scheme to get users to post more, hence Topix makes more money.

The more throughput activity the more moolah an ad is worth. But actually, Google and other search engines register any original ip as a +1, therefore Alexa will set an ad price range on the site. If any one site gets a lot of +1's, registered or not, the ads are going to be worth more. The game was probably a big scheme to increase internal activity within the site. If you notice, each new post that you open brings a new ad to the right hand side. Topix is probably getting paid for ad impressions as well as click through ratios on top of the actual cost to buy ad space on this site. Just a glorious and convoluted scheme to produce the almighty dollar. Just think, some guy is setting back on a fishing boat somewhere making money for doing absolutely nothing because he invented this site and our traffic is getting him paid.(and none of us even have to click on one of those annoying ads)

I'd probably have to make 5 accounts for that but I am not that into the game lol. Interesting. Never did that. You're right about the accounts. That's what many have done to get all their points, including me, although I didn't start any new ones for the contest. My main account began the contest from day one. I hadn't missed a single point until the other day when I had to be at the hospital all day until late. Once I lost the possibility of all points, I don't even try to get them when I have better things to do now. But until I lost that first point, I had to carry on. That is insane. LMBO!! Most contests lasted less than an afternoon, and this has gone on for months. You'd be shocked how many folks get all their points each week. I'm camping at the lake. I do NOT do internet or texting from the phone, so the contest is no longer in the foreground. This wouldn't be so bad in the winter with a foot of snow on the ground and 0 temps. LOLOL. Looks like you'll likely win here this week. Good for you!! I gave you a prop. If I have any extras I'll remember you. The more we move up in levels, the more props we have to give. ;o} *NOTWF*
