too bad his worthless family didn't teach him right from wrong. Too bad they didn't teach him not to take what wasn't his. Too bad they didn't teach him to respect other people's property.

I Do not mean this in a bad way i did not know the guy that lost his life and yes i agree what he was doing was wrong but he had family and i am sure friends that loved him no matter what he did and right now they feel as if their heart has been taken out just because they do wrong does not mean someone did not love them. I would be very careful what i say because the saying Karma is about the only right one in this world and it does come home, no matter what he was loved let this family have their space to get through this and no they will never get over it my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and all who knew him and also our police park rangers and Emt's that had to see what i am sure was a terrible sight once again.
And you came on here just to say that karma got his azz! Shame on you.

Interesting. Shame. Shouldn't the person that committed the crime have the shame? Shouldn't family members who excused theft have shame? No one should have shame for calling out the truth.

Probably to poor to bury him. They will just cremate him. Oh, I'm sorry he is already baked to a crisp.
He was a loving person from the day I met him when I was 7. I loved this kid to death and he had the biggest heart in the world. This man worked in the coal mines to support his family. He had two nephews and a niece that he baby sat regularly and acted like a father figure. This man was full of knowledge and was wiser than any of you give him credit for. Before he left on that Wednesday mornimg he kissed fiance and told her exactly where he was going and how much he loved her. Never knowing he would not return for dinner that night. This man was not stealing copper he was only up on the mountain shooting his new gun with his friend. He wore camo, he went hunting, he rode 4-wheelers and even played in mud. But this man had a heart and did anything and everything he could for the ones he loved. I do know the story and I do know this man for who he truly was and that is how he will be remembered by myself and his loving family and friends. I am not going to judge nor call anyone names but for the sake of his family and friends I ask you to please not talk down to him. His truck bed was full of scrap metal from abandon areas, they didn't even have room for copper wire in there.... it was merely an afternoon they planned on spending out in the woods having fun and doing what they loved. May his beautiful soul rest in peace for he will forever be in my heart. I speak not only for myself when I say that I love him and he will NEVER be forgotten.

Never could have said it better. I hate it for both families, one is mine. But everyone has something to say because life is so boring for them. If they were there to be baptized, someone would say the same things as now, they were stealing. Keep your head up and know that my family loved Dalton and will miss him everyday.

too bad you're wrong he may have been all those things but they were trying to get copper. People can say they weren't until they turn blue in the face to try to salvage his reputation but the reality is they were attempting to get copper . Dalton was too knowledgeable about firearms to shoot at a power line like that "just shooting his new gun". When u shoot guns you shoot at animals or targets or beer cans pop cans paper plates anything but a main power line. Then if its an accident if for some reason you are dumb enough to shoot at one you get outta there you don't walk over an grab it for ANY REASON there's absolutely no other reason in this world you grab a power line unless your intention is to strip it of the copper. Very sad and a difficult time for all who was a part of his life but stop telling lies just leave it alone.
