I think everyone who shops at walmart need to wake up. Once Sam Walton died and his greedy children took over, walmart changed. For instance, they say that they roll back prices they lie like a penny in a supermarket parking lot. The suggested retail price on the tags, when items are delivered, are priced way lower then the prices that are on the shelves. For example, socks were priced 6.48 on the tags on the box, but on the shelf it was priced 7.96. When they roll back prices they actually roll back to the suggested retail price.

Walmart ended layaway shortly after they rolled out their credit card. They are not going to bring it back. Start a savings account for Christmas or buy walmart gift cards through out the year to use at Christmas.
that is a great idea about the gift cards i think i will try that.

billy ray prolly only has cash cause welfare pays all his bills. just saying some people actually don't get assistant from the state so layaway is actually a conveniant way to cover christmas, hide your purchases from your kids, and not go broke. people on here are so stupid sometimes. some people don't like to use credit for everything. especially with the high interest rates.

Sounds like bullshit excuses from u. I worked at walmart and I like the layaway it was nice. You could get more and better stuff than kmart have. I also had a walmart credit card but the interest rate was too high. So it was better to have layaway at least u pay it off and don't have to worry about interest fees racking up. So I say layaway should stay after Christmas.

Walmart has the best stuff.

Can't stand Wal-Mart. They are nothing but GREEDY!! What really gets me is they have like 25 registers and only 5 open!! Like WTF... Drives me nuts. I wish something would come our way so I can shop elsewhere. K-Mart is no better. I went there the other day and only 1 register was open and a big line. The prices and outragous and they never have what I need.
guess what

Layaway is coming back to Walmart for Christmas time only and only for toys and electronics, it will start in Oct. so get ready shoppers it is back, the layaway will not be open on the day after thanksgiving. Walmart does try to listen to the customers and talking about register open, do you want a job, it is hard keeping people working because they don't want to work.

I think this great to bring layaway back....but think its unfair to limit the type if items u can get toys and electronics only don't like that idea...I think they should just limit the total purchase amount like it could only be up to $500.00 dollars. Layaway really helps when someone can't afford rings they want it need at the time..

i used 123 layaway last year because it seemed like a good program. i put over $600 worth of items on layaway and paid them off in the 3 month period for my plan. the items were never shipped and when i tried to contact customer service via phone, the lines were disconnected. the site said they were adding new lines, so i waited and weeks turned to months and the lines were never reconnected. i emailed customer service and eventually the emails bounced back to my account because the customer service email address was no longer valid. then the website itself disappeared. i contacted the better business bureau and they tried to contact the owner or company with no luck. they said they had to close the case after a few months because they couldnt get any response. finally, i was contacted by the "owner" who was argumentative and said the company went bankrupt and i was pretty much out of luck when it came to my refund. they wanted copies of the layaway agreement i had, which i stupidly didnt print out because the website and company itself seem so legitimate and i didnt think i would need hard copies. i will not make that mistake again. 123 layaway was a huge rip off. i dont have a lot of money because i am a college student, which is why i chose to utilize 123 layaway. i have used layaway with other companies and it worked out well, so i didnt think anything bad would come of my transactions with 123 layaway, until they ripped me off, of course. i currently use ELAYAWAY and you can change your payment dates to suit when you need them to be taken out of your bank account and they have tons of items on the site. they also allow you to add items from merchants if their is something you want that is not listed on the site. their customer service is always helpful and they answer immediately to any problem or question you have. i ordered an item and the merchant didnt ship the item after a few weeks so i contacted elayaway to find out if they knew when the particular merchant would ship. they told me they would contact the merchant and if they got no response by 5pm the next business day, i would be given a full refund of my money for that particular item. that is what happened and i got the refund, no questions asked. they are extremely professional and helpful. i have paid off 13 or 14 items from different merchants on their website and have never had an issue-and all the items ship fast and are excellent. you can even layaway gift cards and vacations. i would have loved for 123 layaway to be a legitimate and good company, because i put quite a few items i really wanted for myself and wanted as gifts for family on layaway through that site, and i got ripped off. i know im not the only one, because i posted on rip off reports.com site with a couple of other people who also didnt receive their items nor did they receive their money back- so in my opinion, we were scammed and i would be very weary about using layaway express if it is the same company and owners as 123 layaway was because they ripped customers off and didnt even try to make the situation better by refunding the money we all lost.

I just found this site 3 months ago called layaway express and I was scared about using it because never heard of the before. But talked to several people at customer service and they were so friendly. I decided to order a powerwheel cop charger and now I can't wait for my son to open his gift. I just got the powerwheel yesterday and it is awesome and very quick shipping. The item is brand new still in the box. layaway express I will order from you again. I did have to call customer service to understand how to buy something thats not on the site but they added the products while I was on the phone and walked me through the process.
