It is slowly getting better since a new manager took over about 2 years ago. She's continually looking for and evicting those druggies. But it takes time.

Well I can tell you I do not do drugs but I was just wondering if it had got better than it was years ago. It seems to have a good location to be near all the shopping areas.

i don't know what rock you all crawled out from under, but drugs and whores are every where not just that aptartment complex, about mossy, page, pax, harlem heights, kingston, summerlee, jus t to name a few. everybody and their daddy is on drugs these days, the sad part is it's only going to get's not only adults on drugs, kids are put on drugs as soon as they are born, because their parents are on drugs.i've rode up there recently, yes the place looked like a project, trash every where, junk behind the apartments etc. it used to be a nice place to live, every thing was nice and clean, very little druggies, but keep in mind it's 2010 and drugs are becomming a big problem every where,so just don't bash pineknoll apts. iv'e heard they have a new land lord up there that is not going to put up with this junk,so if i was a druggie or a seller of drugs i would not go to pineknoll, maybe this new landlord will clean the place up,from what i hear she's doing just that, give it a little time..........

i am going to assume that the majority of you do not live at pine knoll. i do. for the past two years actually. i am not going to make myself look ignorant by cussing you out even though it is what i feel like doing.
would you like to know how many times i see the cops come to pine knoll? about once or twice per month for various reasons. now, that may seem like alot, but consider how many residents live in such a close space. look at your neighbor hood. put about 150 people side by side and i bet at least a few of them have the police come to their house several times a month. statisitics people.
i can also tell you that no matter how much money someone makes, i guarantee at least 2 out of every three people that you know is on drugs of some kind. you might not know it because they dont live close to others who have witnessed it. so if the cops have come to pine knoll to arrest someone for drugs, it is because someone has done the right thing and reported it and just because your perfect neighbor in their fancy house has never had the police called on them doesnt mean they arent doing the same thing someone else is who lives in an apartment. and to the ignorant ass who said nothing but welfare recipients live at pine knoll? my aunt was a war veteran who owned who own home and succesful business in oak hill for years. her 5 bedroom home become to hard for her to take care of so she moved to pine knoll for ease of living and paid the maximum amount of rent out of her pocket.$650 for a two bedroom flat.
my husband and his best friend who is our neighbor go outside on a regualr basis and organize play activities for the kids and they also repair playground equipment, weed eat, mow, sweep the parking lots and cut the grass to help the maintence men get caught up on their work.
so to answer the original posters question, yes, pine knoll is a very nice place to live. but it is your responsibility to treat it like a home. if you take pride in your home, then it will be a nice place to live.

like i said, i live there and i am outside all the time and i absolutely do not see the police coming up there twice a day. i have seen them patrol through every so often and sometimes come to serve paperwork for various reasons, but i think you are seriously over exxagerating.

Pineknoll isnt as bad as everyone says it is. Its like half good and half bad. We moved out because we lost our good neighbors and two horrible ones moved in on each side of us. One couple was always fighting and we could hear it through the walls and the other one would always b*tch about where everyone parked. We also didn't like to be monitored on our income constantly and we are not welfare recipients.

People have to think. It is a community up here.If you hear on your scanner that police are up here then good. that means someone made a difference and called for some reason.I'm sure trash can be found in everyone's neighborhood.Actually i haven't heard about too much whoring up here just pills and a drunk here and there.

It seems like every time i got to krogers there is a car or truck waiting at the bottom of the hill! diferent times of the day an night !! WEll i stop and watched to see what there doing! low and be hold a other car will come down the hill and exchanges go on!! why dont the oakhill pd put a stop to this or at less pull up next to them and see how they act!!! just think OHPD would be doing better things there than sitting under the bridge waiting for easy money from out of state people!!!WHAT DO YOU think!!!!!
