Why does this not surprise me. Oak Hill Has another Mayor that we did not elect. We have had 3 Mayors in the last 1.5 years, 2 of which we did not elect. Why did they let Coleman be acting Mayor then would not let him be the Replacement Mayor. This sounds a little funny to me.The guy they put in as MAyor, get ready because he is every bit as nice a fellow as Gene Larrick was wheres Calvin Jones when ya need him.It really is time to make a call r better yet go by the secretary of states office in Charleston, I am sure something can be done.I have seen a lot of stuff pulled on citizens in Fayette County but this just beats all, they do anything they want up there and no one calls them on it.
CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS, DO THE RIGHT THING WE THE CITIZENS OF OAK HILL ARE CALLING FOR YOU ALL TO RESIGN.
the whole bunch of you should be ashamed of what your doing, this is not fair to the citizens of oak hill and you know it!
ONE THINS FOR SURE THERE TO CHICKEN SHIT TO GIVE ME THE OPEN COUNCIL SEAT,I'D TURN THEM ALL IN AND HAVE THEM ARRESTED!
of course when your dealing with a bunch of low life's it is expected they will never do the right thing.
I THINK IT IS ALSO TIME FOR THE STATE TO COME IN AND AUDIT THE CITY'S FINANCIAL BOOKS...

The financial records are audited yearly, and I think someone from the state actually does the audit. I don't have a problem with the finances at all.
I think city council needs to be more transparent about the "musical chair" playing that goes on. Every time a position opens, they appoint one of themselves to it. When the city manager position opened a few years ago, the mayor resigned and was hired to fill it, a council member was appointed to the mayor position, and the former manager was appointed to council. I never saw an advertisement for city manager position when that was open. Is it even legal to fill a salaried position with the city without advertising it? They just stuck one of their own in it. Now this has happened. Something needs to be done about all of these appointments. It makes you wonder if something will happen since council had a tied vote and the mayor had to break it.

According to the oak hill city charter, it is online, the Mayor or any councilman may not take the job as city manager for a period of 2 or 3 years after their term of office has expired. So they got some off the wall Lawyer to give an opinion, just his personal opinion that the Mayor is not a member of city council and then Hannabass took the job Illegally....This is the truth, the city charter and codes are all online. So I dare a councilman to get on here and say how they do everything legal.
