It is being rumored through the community that the Frasure Creeek superindendent is turning the job into his own personal hunting ground. He is killing bear and deer on the mine property. I guess it takes a real man to shoot bear out of a dumpster. Im not sure but i think it is against the law to have a loaded firearm on any mine property. I know a couple of men that work there and they tell me it is also in the paperwork when u hire in at the job that u are not supposed to have any firearms. So not only are they taking our mountains & trees, polluting our streams, and destroying our roads, they are killing our wildlife!! Just shows what kind of management is running the place.

I live right beside the mining site and I never hear any gunshots comin from there. This mining company is saving our community finical. If they close this mine down half of our community will be jobless. Go hate somewhere else.

For real unless you know something for a fact you shouldn't post something so heinous. My man his father and a lot of other really close friends and family work for the local mines and for companies that work with the mines. without that income most families would not make it. Stop hating on our miners and trying to make it more difficult for people to make an honest living.

Damn,he was not trying to close the mines and what he said was not heinous,he was talking about an illegal hunter. Calm down.

Poaching is a crime. But unless its investigated and proven then its just hear say. But then again Oak Hill is bad about convicting people without a trial.

I'm all for mining but him killing animals on the job site is wrong he has no right!! bet he wouldn't like it to much if I would feed him let him believe he was safe to be there and then shoot his ass...

at one time i worked there, i hated the place and most of the management that was in place but i do not see this happening. even in the evening hours there are too many people around and it is such a back biting place that there would be no way to keep it a secret.

well who ever posted this thread is not lying. tommy grant killed a bear out of the dumpster in the maintence lot in broad daylight during shift change with a muzzleloader and one of his foreman also killed one that was so very little it probably was not even legal. there was also two 8 points killed by the same two guys during the first week of buck season. this is also the same man that was charged with several counts of grand larceny from his previous employer because he was stealing and transferring equipment parts across state lines. this is the kind of bosses the job employs. if ur a boss and have been fired from another mine then frasure creek will hire you. there are a bunch of great men that work there, it is the management that makes it such a terrible place. for once there is a topic on topixs that is true.

yes, everything that you said is true, my husband works there and this did happen. But tommy grant just took a job elsewhere, it's a shame that the superintendent was doing this!

It takes a big brave piece of crap to do that to a hungry animal. I don't know how he and those like him sleep at night. Humans keep encroaching on the animals territory to the point where the animals have to resort to eating from dumpsters because all the mast has been destroyed. It's very sad. I have no problem with anyone working to feed his/her family and I have the ultimate respect for coal miners. My daddy was a roof bolter in the mines for years. But I gotta draw the line at animal cruelty of any kind. Plus if someone is opening fire near the mine could it not possibly spark an explosion? Killing innocent animals AND putting human lives in danger? Someone needs to teach these idiots a lesson. They need a dose of Southern Justice if u ask me.

i'm hearing now from people i used to work with at the mine that there is some truth to these rumors. disturbing that management is involved with this and worse yet looks like they might get away with it

you can have a gun on mine property, as long as its with state and fedral laws. witch means concealed weapons permit and you have the right to barearms. i work at a mine site and they told me i can not have a gun in my personal car or truck. well thats a lie, anyone has the right to barearms and no one can tell you otherwise.

The main thing coal miners are thinking about is supporting their families-a roof over their head, food on the table, etc. Take ur tree hugging elsewhere if you hate it so bad. This is a coal mining state, where family comes first whether you like it or not!!!!!!!!!!

Community member loves to spread gossip!. The first three words of your post tells who and what kind of person you are and that you have a personal vendetta against the 'Frasier Creek Superintendent'.

OMG my dad used to be a foreman there, he loved the dumpster bear! He even has close up pics of her, she let him get that close! This is so sad, the man who killed her needs a plug in his own ass too!

I dont know about all this animal stuff happening but that might be why Frasure Creek brought in new bosses to straighten the place up. I reakon it had gone to hell because of the management. So maybe they can clean that place up!!
