That would be great because county ambulance services can't get scabies.

Yeah, cause a county ambulance would be immune to scabies. Good one. It's a skin disease that's easially cured. Don't blame Jan-Care for it. More than likely it was a patient who brought a crew in contact with it. What are they supposed to do? Refuse someone care because of a skin disease? I don't think so. I'm sure Jan-Care is doing everything they can, like cleaning the trucks and stations thoroughly, to prevent anymore cases if there truely are any in the first place. Don't degrade Jan-Care because of rumors you're hearing. They see and deal with more uncleanly people then you ever will in your entire life. Same for any hispital, doctors office, hell even taxi's.. all of those see uncleanly people on a daily basis. What's next? Everyone flipping out because a trauma victim with AIDS was transported so now you'll boycott that ambulance? This is immature and uneducated hearsay at it's best.

The scabies mite does not care if a person is clean or not; merely that they have a blood supply. The scabies mite migrates from infected individuals to clothing, pillows, theater seats, or any object that can harbor them. They live up to a week, waiting for a host.

Labeling someone with a scabies infestation as "uncleanly" is inaccurate.

I'm sorry I was inaccurate. Even so, they do deal with some extremely dirty people.

County ambulances are not free. Idk what county you've been riding with but they're priced almost exactly the same, insurance pay or self pay. Ambulances are expensive because the supplies, diesel, maintenance, employee pay, etc all adds up. That's why they should be used only in emergencies. If I, or a family member, were in an emergency I'd pay any amount of money for care by well trained professionals!

Ghent fire bills for ambulance trips. They take fd ambulances to do non emergency dialasis trips. And everyone in the county supports them with your tax dollars not to mention the big pay raise they got with the fire levy that passed!!! Money from the state, the county,& from your insurance or Medicare. Must be nice to get paid from everyone multiple times
