Is this brian hawver from ansted? About mid to late 40s was a firefighter?
Unless I'm thinking of someone else, he's only about 38. I went to Trail with him until my senior year when I guess he dropped out or something. I've known him since 9th grade. He wasn't a weirdo all those years but who knows the true nature of people. This is so sad and makes me sick.

Don't answer this. I shouldn't have asked. This is inappropriate.

You nut jobs are funny as h$ll. The jury will decide if he is guilty. You guys done threw him under the truck and he hasnt even been convicted. And who knows, he may not be found guilty.

Just an observation...Being innocent & being not convicted are 2 different things. Too many times the damning evidence is not allowed due to some legal loophole.

Another observation to remember. The only thing that will matter is if the court convicts him. Nothing else matters.

Will it matter in a guilty man is set free to harm someone you love? I understand the concept of innocent until proven guilty, I just know that often people get away with it too.

What ifs dont matter right now. Evidence in trial and the views of the jury will make that determination. Right now he is guilty of nothing.

I've had first hand experience by a repeat offender (different crime but the same court system) I know for a fact that evidence gets suppressed. I've been researching sex offenders in general as well. Even when a person is guilty they'll probably be released sooner than later & the next thing ya know everybody is sorry for something that can never be fixed.

The system we use is the only system we have and in the end, its outcome is all that really matters in the legal system.

I agree that we have the best system. I just don't think we use the system to its full potential. I used to blame the politicians but more & more I see the people enabling them. The court system is more about winning these days than it is justice. Innocent people go to jail & guilty people go free. Lawyers on both side manipulate evidence & truth is not sought. I wonder.. If the lawyers (prosecutors too) had some personal risk as to the out come what effect would that have? For example, an innocent man is convicted but it later comes out that the prosecution was successful in suppressing evidence that proved his innocence. As I understand it the state must pay restitution to the wrongfully convicted man. But what if the Prosecutor had to pay that out of pocket? I wonder what our courts would look like then? You opinion please?

With the way things have been going down in this nation lately, i feel sure we would all see a difference in alot of outcomes. Some good some bad. Nothing would surprise me. However i do believe completely that each individual trial or case is different. We dont know if evidence will be surpressed or if there is enough evidence at all to begin with yet, therefore all this speculation seems pointless at this time.
