Perhaps a study should be undertaken to determine if certain departments, officers, or correctional officers are a common thread.

Very interesting. I think I will invest in a scanner and video camera, and practice hiding in bushes to capture this phenomenon on film. This could be bigger than bigfoot! I smell an emmy.

Can anyone come with an excellent title for this groundbreaking study?

I also believe that something is going on, but not only in Fayette county, but also Raliegh county. You could call it "Punk ass pigs that hide behind their gun and badge"

My theory is that those punks not only got arrested but someone also gave em what they had coming to them. Sometimes a lil justice gets served before a court date is set. Fine with me. Too many repeat criminals are terrorizing our town, getting light sentences then getting released only to do more damage. Stop coddling pieces of s**t & care more for your family's safety & posterity.

If we do have officers abusing people ACCUSED of a crime, then they are also CRIMINALS! If we have brutal, hate-filled, violent individuals walking around with a gun and badge; basically a license to kill, well, that worries me a lot.

I wish someone would start filming these arrests and interviewing the people with head and facial injuries. We don't need police officers who are scarier that the people they are arresting.

Are you one of those jackbooted thugs with a gun and a badge? If so, everyone has even more to worry about after reading your post. Are you shooting up steroids? You don't sound rational.

If we do have police officers of using power then don't you think we should prove it before we accuse them of it? You have no idea what happened. I suggest that you & TheOnlyKermit Take your little scanner in your camera and hide in the bushes and see what an arrest really entails. Then maybe you will see that it takes more than a simple coaxing to get a criminal in cuffs. Not only will your video prove you both wrong it will prove how dangerous it is for law enforcement to deal with some people. Or maybe you could do a better job? I'm sure if you tell them how you feel the police officers would be more than happy to let you risk your ignorant life to serve and protect. Your ignorance scares me more than anything. People like you put my children in jeopardy. Your stupidity is dangerous and apparently it's contagious. My hope is that 1 day when you need police help they decide that they shouldn't use force and let you do with it your way with no force. I'll bet you change your mind when it's your life in jeopardy.

Are you one of those birkenstock wearing, head in the clouds, love thy criminal idiots? The delusion that you have off peace love and harmony for all is why criminals get put back on the street. Maybe you should switch out your LSD for a couple steroids. Come back down to earth, and see that criminals are not easy to deal with. Maybe if you struggle to put a strung out crackhead in handcuffs your perception may change a little. What a waste you are.

funny. All I smell is the b******* you're talking. I wish you would video what police officers deal with on a daily basis. Just remember it's your chicken s*** ass they are protecting while you're hiding in the bushes.

My concern about the increasing number of individuals from Fayette County showing up on the SRJ site with head and facial injuries has certainly sparked a violent tirade from my evil twin.

I am merely bringing this to others' attention, not accusing anyone of anything. But, if I or other concerned persons were to video an unprovoked beating by certain law enforcement officers, we could weed out the dangerous ones.

No one can convince me that there aren't some bad apples in every agency. One or two men who get their kicks out of taking a whack at someone's head to make themselves feel powerful.

A complaint against a brutal officer goes no where without video proof. The dash camera in the cruiser mysteriously gets turned off when one of these "accused" winds up with their head or face busted and they are charged with "resisting arrest" or some other butt-covering charge.

I am a hard-working, tax-paying, American, who believes our law enforcement community is there to protect EVERYONE, including those accused of breaking the law. I expect them to act professionally and treat all members of the public with respect. I have never seen a picture of a police officer with a black eye, or stitches in their heads.

You, evil twin, appear to be paranoid and hostile, with a tendency toward violence and demeaning behavior yourself. I would be hiding in the bushes from YOU too. Scary, scary man.

It's not just Fayette County Kermit. I found an article in the beckley newspaper about abuse of authority by correctional officers.
