Why is that, I want to work for a living and people should be responsible for their own actions. Maybe because I don't like to bite the hand that feeds by walking off a job just so I lose it. Gove some examples

You work you get paid. You don't work you don't get paid. Don't like it move on no job is "yours". Strikes are soooo yesterday. Look at Twinkies. Go get a job if you want to work or just sit and take government handouts!

Not the case here we worked and they were making money but thought that we made too much at 18 an hour thought 12 an hour was what we needed to get paid I don't care who you are taking $6 an hour pay cut nobody would do it

First of all it's hostess not twinkies...second "strikes are so yesterday" really??? When you get to a point where you won't stand up for what you believe in what kind of person does that make you?.........a p*ssy that's what kind of person! It takes a far better person to stand up and fight for what they believe in instead of tucking their tails and running like a bunch of little b*tches!

That is a siginificant cut and with the raise in insurance your take home pay must have been really low but it is still much better than nothing. I think I would have stuck it out and looked for another job elsewhere rather than whine and cry about it. You can claim how a strike is so noble all you want but I am more interested in providing for my family and that is better than you have now, isn't it. How much do you make now and where did you go, very few labor jobs around stary out above 12.00 per hour.

The job is not worth the 8.50$ a hour we would've been making after the cost of insurance and pay cut . So they can have the job to be honest . I'm not crying at all , it's really just not worth being in there for that . I've already got a job And turned down two other that are much easier and pay more then what I would've been making . Its was our choice to not work there for what they had offered . Sometime u have to take cuts and stuck with it , but in this case that job and who u work for really isn't worth it . It's a drug hole now . So they get what they pay . it's all good

I don't know what labor jobs you're talking about but most of the labor jobs in this area make over that. When I started at Plibrico I started out at over $16 and that was almost 9 years ago.

You say the most important thing is to provide for your family and I agree 100%. What most people don't understand is that they wouldn't have been able to do that with those wages. What would you do if you could bring home more money by going on strike and fighting for what's right? Not one person in their right mind could honestly think that what plibrico was doing to these men was ok. My husband is union and if he is ever in this situation I would expect him to do the same thing! My point is when anyone not just union workers gets to a point where they will not stand up for themselves then we have problems. Believe it or not it is a noble thing to stand up for what you believe in.

Lazy is not noble. Go get a better job and prove them wrong if you think they don't pay enough.

I see many here disagree with me but that is okay. I am glad to hear you got a better job now. Despite disagreeing with them I understand the huge difference in the standard of living from before and after and have experienced that myself and still trying to find a job now. I feel like in many cases unions do more harm than good but not necessarily in this case. Asking to keep the same pay is far from too much to ask for. I can understand the cost of insurance going up but being that drastic is too much.

Mark was doing wrong?. His FAMILY needed the more money. He's not "stealing" any job,, he saw an opportunity and took it!. Obviously this company knows that the pay cut hit people hard,, but they haven't changed anything now,, they probably are not going to. "fighting for what's right" is one thing,, but these people have gone to far!. And should be ashamed at things they done to try and "prove a point". Mark is a wonderful father and grandfather you a**wholes need to STFU and get his name outta your mouths!!.

My husband works their,he is deff not a druggy...yes he has a tatoo,(wow)never been in trouble in his life...Does it make you feel better saying this shit..My husband has had a job his whole life..He is a great guy just needed a job at the time. Dont expect for others to not work their, as stated by someone else, you guys walked out.. They just walked in to support their families... I guarantee ifyou met my husband out somewhere without knowing he worked at plibrico, you would get along fine. because he is a great guy..! Stop attacking these guys that work at plibrico!!Your problem is with the owners of plibrico, dealwith them ...Also I have a seriouse question, why wouldyou attack the pother ppl thatcome through their, like i seen a cox gas truck on your site.. What did that guy ever do to you? Nothing, you honestly cannot expect for them to not do their jobs and get fired just because you guys walked out....

I sympathize for the union guys that are out of work. If people would just be honest Im sure they would have went on strike for an $11 pay cut also. My father was a union worker most of his life & I can say that the unions just aren't what they used to be.
It wasnt a 11 dollar pay cut, bad info....

Yes they are able to do that with them wages, my husband and have 2 children, and we support them just fine They mayhave to step down off their high horses, but thats life... Thats fine if your husband would go on strike, as long as your husband wasnt harming other while doing it..The guys on strike now have been doing terrible things to innocent ppl.... One guy that does not work their but for a co that has to come in to supply gas, they throw rocks at his truck and everything... Can you honestly tell meyou would expevct that man to lose his job too because these men choose to walk out... Di you know they are thretening to get a gunand start " Taking ppl out" thats how they said it.. I support unions for themost part but this is rediculouse!!!(yeah i know i spelled that wrong_ lol
