North Whidbey Company

I'm a little curious about a company called Nativis that started in North Whidbey but has recently moved down to San Diego. They were started by a guy named John Butters from Langley. I read a really positive story about them (this article in the News-Times at http://www.pnwlocalnews.com/whidbey/wnt/news/... ) and some less flattering stuff (this post on InThePipeline at http://pipeline.corante.com/archives/2010/06/... ). The News-Times article describes them as a "medical revolution", while the InThePipeline post seems to regard them as, how shall I say, a little dubious. The first article says they have "more than 30 North Whidbey investors". Has anyone here invested any money with this company and if so, what was your impression?
