No, as my post clearly states I recognize that there are a variety of ways things are pronounced.

You didn't answer my question, however I will not play the childish game of tit-for-tat with you, Nuff said.

No, you said my version didn't exist. You very plainly said that.
And, I started to answer your question, but the answer was so obvious, I decided not to.

<quoted text>No, I'm not wrong .. in my experience. It may not be your experience, but it is mine. rur ned (rurned) is how I have heard it pronounced. I probably should also tell you how you have really experienced everything, but I won't be that presumptuous. Know what I mean?
ahem..do you realize that you two are debating over how the word should be pronounced and the definition in front of a panel of rednecks...we are a good to answer the phone "yellow?"...we are under enough pressure as it is...

No. It's about whether all of them exist.
Goobertown says they don't exist if he has never heard them, while I maintain that I have heard it and don't need to consult a Southern Colloquialism book to know that rurnt is in fact RIGHT, not WRONG as she states.

Speak properly, not speak proper. OK?
Grammar. OK?
Now, I still have all my teeth, but it's almost a surety that I will lose them before the end of my days. May I count on you to replace them when I do lose all my teeth?

I am originaly from ohio and was raised in several different states (my father was in the military). I was mainly raised inthe south west. When I relocated to Ar a few years ago I was often asked "your not from around here are ya?" I still don't blend in because my speech patterns are different. So to answer your question---every one has an accent---it just depends on where you are from. I speak different from you so to you I am the one with the accent......to me your the one with the accent. Does thatanswer your question?

First of all it should be, "do people in Arkansas."
Second: It would depend on where previously lived. lol

By far Canadian accents are the worst.

So right! We went up north every summer and we had the accent but when the cousins came here they were the ones with a accent.

Reench is a tool, but it's also to get the soap out.
Cheer is something to "set" on.
If you were once able to, you "used to could" do that.
For a headache, take an asspern.
Try to usually put curtains on your winderlights.
Excuse me, but I don't say anything like you say people with Southern accents say. I say chAIR, WINDOW, and aspIrIn. You really shouldn't generalizations.

I don't think the question is whether you speak that way or not, but whether you have ever heard words pronounced that way?

I never realized just how ignorant people in Arkansas sound until I moved up north. I literally had people sit me down and try to "teach" me how to talk. So yes everyone in Arkansas has an accent. However, it isn't just Arkansas, everywhere you go you will run across different accents. ESPECIALLY in Boston and New York, where they have the most pronounced accents in the States. In Arkansas, people just sound slow and a little dumb. I'm not saying anyone from AR is dumb, just compared to the northern states, they think those of us from Arkansas, Texas and surrounding states are a bunch of morons.

Daily Horoscope for December 6

Sagittarius

You still prefer to be in a world of your own, in which nothing nasty is happening, but at least you're feeling a little more realistic than you were yesterday. It's a perfect day for visiting somewhere beautiful, peaceful or relaxing, or for going to the cinema or an art gallery. But it will be difficult to get up the energy for any prolonged Christmas shopping.
