No, as my post clearly states I recognize that there are a variety of ways things are pronounced. You didn't answer my question, however I will not play the childish game of tit-for-tat with you, Nuff said. |
No, you said my version didn't exist. You very plainly said that. And, I started to answer your question, but the answer was so obvious, I decided not to. |
ahem..do you realize that you two are debating over how the word should be pronounced and the definition in front of a panel of rednecks...we are a good to answer the phone "yellow?"...we are under enough pressure as it is... |

No. It's about whether all of them exist. Goobertown says they don't exist if he has never heard them, while I maintain that I have heard it and don't need to consult a Southern Colloquialism book to know that rurnt is in fact RIGHT, not WRONG as she states. |

1 Speak properly, not speak proper. OK? Grammar. OK? Now, I still have all my teeth, but it's almost a surety that I will lose them before the end of my days. May I count on you to replace them when I do lose all my teeth? |

I am originaly from ohio and was raised in several different states (my father was in the military). I was mainly raised inthe south west. When I relocated to Ar a few years ago I was often asked "your not from around here are ya?" I still don't blend in because my speech patterns are different. So to answer your question---every one has an accent---it just depends on where you are from. I speak different from you so to you I am the one with the accent......to me your the one with the accent. Does thatanswer your question?
First of all it should be, "do people in Arkansas." Second: It would depend on where previously lived. lol By far Canadian accents are the worst. |
Like your answers...but mine is always dun-done meaning I have finished. |
So right! We went up north every summer and we had the accent but when the cousins came here they were the ones with a accent. |
Excuse me, but I don't say anything like you say people with Southern accents say. I say chAIR, WINDOW, and aspIrIn. You really shouldn't generalizations. |
I don't think the question is whether you speak that way or not, but whether you have ever heard words pronounced that way? |
they does! |
