Are you saying that some action was taken toward this guy to push him to do what he did. I know that there is more to this than what is being told, but if he did something to him and he was getting back at him then that just makes it that much worse.

No problem! I am from goodwater too so my family come first! I was looking out for my cousin who brough him to my house in phenix city.When i found out what had happen back home that when I call for some help.

Yeah you are right! I did not know he from adam nor eve that was my first time ever meeting this guy! He did not take any drugs that I know of he just stole his money!

This is just one of dozens of "crack houses" in this town! I was a police officer there for almost a year. Once I realized how corrupt the city officials were I got out! The Mayor tried to get me in the "ring" and I said "No Thanks"! This particular house was the scene of a "fake drug bust" to make the town "look good in the newspaper"! In fact, the house is actually guarded by the cops to protect "their money"! I was offered $2000 cash to "protect" a drop shipment at the airport, but I said "I'm sorry" and quit the next day! Sad to see so much corruption in a small town like this. I pray for the families of these victims. It's been lucky that this doesn't happen more often there! I have a friend in the ABI who promised that the town is "under investigation", so we'll see! All things like this come to an end, some just take longer! I hope when it happens that the death toll is low!

I moved away from Goodwater about 30 years ago. I have thought about what it would be like to move back there. I did not know that there was this type of drug activity going on there. I guess I was thinking Goodwater is still a little "Mayberry Town". I guess crime is everywhere, but I still believe there are still some good people there. Another murder today(May 27)! That's 2 in 4 weeks! That puts Goodwater,Alabama very high on the "per capita" murder rate!! Things are getting bad here!

If u are a cop in goodwater i feel very sorry for u. The cops n in goodwater never did anything to prevent the type violent crime that is going on there. It is very sad that the citizens are not scared to kill people one block from the police station. I lived one block from the police station and within a year my house was broken into 6 times. Needless to say I would not want to live in goodwater ever again. it was the most horrible experience of my life. as law enforcement that should be a huge concern that people would move to another city because of the crime in your city.

I don't know what's going on around here, something else happened on hwy 9 today(Jun 4) up the road from piggly wiggly. there was an ambulance leaving , the national guard and ABI all there. not sure what happened , but I would not doubt it being another murder. I hate living here , we keep the doors locked. I am from a large city and it was not this bad there! I am ready to move from here . Living in Goodwater is comparable to living in a bad inner city neighborhood. I lived in one and this is no different.

Well , the ABI has been very present here. I hope it does not get worse. A lot of ppl here are employed by Russell and they are shutting down everything but the DC. I hope it does not make matters worse.You did the right thing by not taking the bribe and leaving the force. I did not realize that much corruption goes on here. Not at all surprising though.
