Sorry WthF but I have to take this a step further.
Why would the raiders respond to Kilroy on this blog? He is looking to dig up dirt of some kind so he can criticize, judging from his prior postings. They are a private organization and not affiliated with any government, thus they are not required to post any financials except with the State. If you want info, contact the raiders, by phone or e-mail, or the Secretary of State, but you would have to divulge your identity so I know you won't do that. If you are a member of the Raiders(which I'm sure you are not) I'm sure they will tell you what you want to know. Otherwise it is none of your business.

As I said, get hold of the orginization and ask your question. Raiders would be insane to answer publicly on a blog. Actually, once again, if you are mot involved it is none of your business.

Once again, if A donor(which you are not)was to ask for info they would get it, but not on a blog, and not to you. Why not give up, you are not going to get answers on here. By the way, people who are affiliated with the Raiders, such as me already know, bet that bugs you, Ha, Ha. This is my final response.

What was the cops problem? Why wouldn't they want to give back to the community that they live in? A lot of them came up through the Raiders, and many of them coached Raiders teams. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Why don't you ask the mayor and the aldermen this question! Maybe you will get the answer you seek! Who's idea was it to have another festival 3 weeks after the Fourth of July Oak Fest, during vacation time? Those folks should be ashamed of themselves!

There is no shame in having a fundraiser at any time. There is shame in not supporting an organization that was good to you and good to so many kids in this town. Give back to who gave to you and there is no shame.

Considering that practice started the first week in August and the first game was last Saturday, when were they supposed to have it? Who is supposed to be ashamed?

Are you saying the Mayor and Alderman are at fault for this? Are you some kind of nut?(you need not answer, we already know)The Raiders are an independent entity, and do not have to ask permission for anything they do. If you think the city told the cops not to donate time it is a bald faced lie. It was their union and the cops themselves.

Wallys point was the scheduling of the event was ill conceived. You had a Carnival and a beer tent on the heels of Oak Fest which offered the same thing along with a bunch of other similar fests in neighboring towns this summer. Difficult to get people to come out for more of the same. And while the Raiders are an independent entity they did have to secure the City's ok to hold the Event on City property. And if they wanted the Police Department's time donated they should have gotten that negotiated up front and they wouldn't have been disappointed when the cops insisted on being paid for providing security.

It is not the city's job to tell them when or when not to hold the event, only to permit them to use city property. What would the backlash have been if the city turned it down with only the timing for a reason? They thought they had an agreement with enough cops, but the union stuck their nose in.

Agreed, and they picked a bad time to have it, so close to Oak Fest, which is why they didn't make as much money as they planned. Hindsight is 20/20 but there probably was a better way to raise money for the worthy cause other than Oak Fest II.

What do the mayor and alderman have to do with this?

Daily Horoscope for February 5

Aquarius

There may be a little push and pull between home and work as the Sun in your sign clashes with the Moon. Things seem a little out of joint. Uranus and Pluto are under pressure, so work or obligations may mitigate your efforts. People in the neighborhood ask a lot of you, but don't be too amenable. Know the right time to say 'no'.
