HOT DOG MAN vs. VILLAGE
This is the most ridiculous thing this village has done yet! I can see him not being able to park in front of Mickeys or any other
restaurant, but really to kick him out and now we are paying the village lawyer to handle this. I think its cool it brings you back to a nice little village not the rat hole this town has become. Now no ice cream truck either. What are these bozos doing at the village hall. Instead of making this village more family friendly they are making it a joke (as usual) for the surrounding towns. Way to go mayor and trustees, dropping the ball again. Have some common sense....

I agree, I know some streets in need of major repairs....how about they put their energy into solving that problem? We could sure use some level headed people in this administration.....the thought of putting attorneys to work on this issue is A JOKE, no wonder this town is broke. The next election should be really interesting. Bring on the change already!

I heard, The complaints came from Neat Repeats for the parking lot issues. The Polish Deli is gone. From what i hear , they operated for a long time and paid no taxes at all. That freed up extra spaces. AND Neat Repeat are non- profit and pay no taxes? Neat Repeats is slower in the summer since their are so many Garage Sales. I think they got more business from Folks stopping in for the 1st time. I hope he sues. We are a very unfriendly Village. I have the ' I support Worth Police'. Now i am going to have ' I support Hot dog Man '. Where is the Vote on this? Why do we spend so much on Attorneys? How the 'Friends' thing going? Aren't their bigger issues than 1 licensed Hot dog vendor? He's only going to be around a few months. It will get cold. What on earth could the problem be? They gave him a license.

And DO SOMETHING!!!! These officials represent us. If you people are that concerned and opinionated about this then call the Village Hall and complain. Tell your friends and family to call. Have every resident so up at the next board meeting and insist that this man be allowed to make a living.
When only ten people show up to board meetings there is no voice of the people so they do what they feel is best, but if hundreds show up and demand the hotdog man stays I'll be he does.
I'll be there next week Tuesday......WILL YOU????

I read the owner complained but the son or who ever George is said, it didn't really effect them. I think he said, they sold 350 hotdogs a week. Hotdogs are only a small portion of the entire menu. The Burgers & Gyros rock. Same for Windy City. They have many menu items. If i want a gyro, i am going to get a gyro & not a hot dog from who ever sells it? Only one restaurant? one bank? etc. If Mickeys doesn't stop complaining and crabbing about the Hot dog man THEN, they will loose all of my business. Since when does a greek immigrant call the shots on who can open a business here? Does he even live in this town? He didn't event Fast Food or the Hot dog.

so who is going to step up tonight and voice their opinion on this? And who is going to sit here on topix and hide behind the computer screen?
if only 10 people show up at the board meeting then the trustee's will only act on what they feel is best.

Too bad for the freeloading hot dog man who parks his cart in real estate he's not entitled to. Maybe Worth can become a village of people selling things out of various carts and the trunks of their cars.

He has a license to do so. Pepsi machines, Netflix, POKER MACHINES, even gum ball machines, owned by someone other than the owner of the Property. The Village gave him a license. The Bar said he could park out front, so what is the problem? Mr. Big, stop bit(hing.

The vending machine companies pay the the business or the landowner rent or comission. Is the hotdog freeloader paying rent to park his cart in these parking lots? He's taking business away from legitimate sales and property tax paying business. He also mislead the village when he was applying for his license. He said he would only be in certain locations, then it it turns out he's all over town.

It's a Hot dog guy with a cart and a license. So, if he paid the Bar a $1 commission there would be no problem? How is he not legitimate ? It is the same as my Neighbor selling Avon at my House party. Would the Dollar store complain? Doesn't the Village have Bigger issues than someone selling Hot dogs a few months our of the year?

To those of you who think I'm free loading, guess again. Freeloaders take what they get and give nothing in return. Not only was I INVITED to be at the businesses I parked in front of, I also brought SALES to those businesses. On top of that, I am a resident of worth. I take the money I make in worth and spend it at Walgreens, Fairplay, CVS, Petes Liquor, El Gallo, Expert Tire and all other places my family goes in town that I don't. Do you think that's bad for Worth too? I even buy Gyros at Mickeys! Take THAT Paul! lol
I also employ a couple of kids in town that sometimes make more money than I do in a day. Freeloaders take what they get and give nothing in return. I work very hard in a business that by no means will make me rich but at least I have a job.

Good 4 u hot dog man. Our kids used to play together years back and I hope this works out for you. With the unemployment rate so I high I am suprised some people are complaining when they should be applauding your effort.

Good luck....

The Hot dog man I applaud him making a honest living employing a few kids. With so many people out of work. I think that it is great that he is willing to help a few kids. There is something wrong with Worth if they don't let the hotdog man stay!

Again Paul complained but George said it didn't effect them. Does Paul employ some resident kids? Does he live here? Since when does he corner the market for Hot dogs here? He should of just ' wished him well' with no comment. That backfired on him. I will never go to Mickeys again!

Did anyone read the statement that Mayor Keller made about the charity boxes in the Worth Reporter? WHAT, Is he in 6th grade? What an idiot. IT'S no wonder he never returned any of the calls to the Reporter on the topic getting to know your Mayors. Think about it. He said we were broke come to find out WE WERE NOT. He got rid of some Police only to hire them back. Now the BABY says round two for home rule. Bring in Randy. IT wasn’t good then and will never be. Just ask the Midlothian Residents.
