Jesse Please answer these simple question

1.Why did you move back to Melrose Park?
2.When did you originally move from Melrose Park and how many years in total have you lived in Melrose Park?
3.Why are you running for Mayor and what would you do better then Mayor Serpico or Taddeo?
4.Why do you come across as you are entitled to be mayor of Melrose Park because you are Hispanic?
5.Do you only think that a mayor should be the same race as the majority of his constituents? If so then Obama would have never been elected president since only 20% of the voters are African American.
6. Have you noticed that your supporters are either disgruntle employees or people who have been against Serpico in every election? i.g. Ron Fabini (once a Serpico support now disgruntle because he couldn't get what he wanted) and Donna Contraveos (who openly has voted and campaigned against Serpico in every election)Not exactly a good track record.

The stupidest set of questions I have ever seen!

Yes Jesse is not a great candidate. But Serpico has transformed Melrose into a garbage can.He is a fat corrupt liar that hires friends that are incompetent.

Why does anybody run for an election.....because they are disgruntled and think they can do better than the people that are in office....duhhh!

The real question here is ...why aren't there more people trying to run against Serpico and his mafia backed buddies?

I'm a voter a real voter in Melrose Park they are my questions and I think if someone moved into a village and wants to be in an elected office I as a voter have the right to ask and have these questions answered. Did you ever hear the expression there are no stupid questions just stupid answers well thank you "a ticket for you" for providing the stupidest answer. If Jesse wants to win an election he must first stop the accusations that Serpico is corrupt and just because he is Italian does not mean he is in the so called "mafia" or friends with poeple in the mob. Hello stereotype! Jesse will only win an election because he would have to be the best choice, Sorry in this case he is not. I have heard no plans nor accomplishment from Jesse only the race card from Jesse and his organization. Start giving the Melrose Park citizen move information and how you will provide a better place to live and maybe a serious voter will consider you. Until then sorry your out Tom! Just answer the 6 questions. No Name Calling either

These are leading questions set to make you answer in a way that makes you look bad regardless of your response. Ask questions that can be answered by both candidates without trying to lure someone into a trap. Good try.

There are stupid questions....heres one. Do you have a brain? Its a stupid question because everyone knows you are brainless.

If this was a pie eating or lasagna eating contest...then vote for Serpico.

If this was a taco eating contest...Martinez is your man.

The reality is that both candidates are terrible. Serpico should be in jail and Martinez should be back in grade school learning the English language.

Someone with integrity and brains need to run for office.

But these idiots from the Serpico payroll that come on here and try to challenge Martinez ...only hurt Serpico further because its soo obvious they don't want to talk about what a mess he has made of MP.

Yep they are just dumb leading questions from the Serpico morons on his massive payroll.

Just once I would like to see Serpico fans address a real issue ie., the ridiculous payroll,or the underfunded pensions, or the taxes or corrupt police department,....on and on.

Instead they want to state the obvious that Martinez is an idiot.

Serpico will make MP into a total ghetto before he is done.I will be amazed if he even stays in office the entire term before he is indicted on some corrupt activity.

Proud, educated Italians should be embarrassed by Serpico! We should seek out a smart ,honest candidate and demand that Serpico backs the candidate with all his puppet payrollers. Then once in office the smart candidate can clean house and restore pride in the community.

Haha, now hear this. We can only ask "general" questions to politicians from now on. Okay, this should be fun, let me try.

Jesse, what's your favorite color?
Jesse, who's your favorite sports team?
Jesse, what do you want to be when you grow up?

Ah, I'm sick of that.

Jesse, just answer the questions we have. Why is it no longer allowed to vet the challenging candidate? The challenger moves to our town, puts his name on the ballet, but as soon as anyone asks SIMPLE questions, like the ones below, his team gets awkwardly defensive (which only raises MORE red flags). Here's some pretty fair, and simple questions Melrose Parkers have:
Hey, what exactly did you accomplish in your last position in Stone Park?
Why did you leave that position and move to Melrose Park to run for Mayor?
What's your current job? What do you do there? I heard around town you were suspended from your job - is that true? And how come?
Your trustees seem to have very limited experience in both government work and limited accomplishments in the private sector - why did you pick them as your trustees?
Also, the trustees on your ticket in this election are all different from when you ran last time. Why is that? Is there a reason you aren't running with any of the same people 4 years later?

These are all very BASIC and FAIR questions, that EVERY Melrose Parker has the right to ask the challenging candidate whom they do not know yet. However, Jesse's gang continues to refuse to answer them. They'll either say - take time out of YOUR day and come to OUR office to get your answer. Or they'll respond with very general answers like "he did a great job in Stone Park". Okay... I'm sorry, but that's just not enough. I'd love to just believe you, but I need some sort of examples that show that.

Please guys, just step to the plate and answer these questions about YOUR candidate. Elections are about the candidate first, and his ideas second. If we can't trust and believe in the candidate, we don't want to hear about his ideas.

Voters have a right to demand answers from a candidate. However anonymous people do not have a right to demand a candidates answers from a forum. Is Martinez the moderator of this forum? How do you know if Martinez even reads these things? You posing questions to Martinez on this forum is about as good as you posing questions to him while talking to your pillow. Just because it seems that you spend quite some time on here doesnt mean anyone else does. Your questions are interesting, but ultimatley worthless if they arent asked directly to the person whom you would like to answer them. If you want answers then contact either campaign/candidate directly.

It's funny you bring up that Jesse supporters won't answer questions or tell you to come to the office and speak with jesse himself.

Hypocritical Fact 1: At Serpico's "coffee with the mayor" when asked specific questions not flattering his accomplishments or about the many disappointments of his 16 years in office he states he will have a one on one conversation with the questioner. So my two questions I have for serpico is why is that? What can't he say in public?

Fact 2: I spoke to a hispanic serpico worker who came to my hispanic neighbor's door but skipped mine. Being a life long resident the first question I asked him if he lived in Melrose Park? To which he lied to me and answered yes until I pressed him and then he admitted he lived in chicago but lived in Melrose for two years in 1994-96. I asked him to sell me on Serpico. He told me that the town was nice. The streets were nice. And that serpico was doing a good job. I asked him specifically to give me 5 examples of how Melrose Park was a better place to live in than before he took office. He told me crime was low. I rebutted that we had 3 murders in the last 8 months. He said, "well look at Maywood." I rebutted that Maywood, nor Bellwood, nor Stone Park, nor Northlake had as many murders in the last year. He said that melrose was better now than when he lived here in 1994 with his girlfriend. I rebutted how would he know he has been living in Chicago. I asked him if housing, the debt, taxes, corruption, have all improved under serpico. He thanked me and left without an answer. Not even an invitation to come to his campaign office when I had free time. Last election serpico accused Jesse of being a "carpetbagger." But I guess importing hispanics and irish southsiders, lent out by Madigan is not carpetbagging in his book. In fact the majority of people door knocking and putting up signs have been from chicago.
So my last question for Serpico is why the hypocrisy and the lies?
