"Police are not identifying the child out of respect for the grief-stricken family," Classy. Way to go.

To the parents of imani Joyner,

I truly can not stop thinking about this since I have heard it. I always knew ppl can be sick, but this is beyond. I am so sorry that you have had to relive your loss all over again, and I will keep you in my thoughts. Also, I saw Imani in the pictures, and she was beautiful in life, and I am sure she is a beautiful angel with God now watching over you.

The police make it very clear that the parents don't want to be identified so Stamford Town Clerk Donna Loglisci takes it upon herself to identify them for the rest of the world. Great job.

Maybe the parents didn't mind being identifed, b.c they shown in photographs with their baby. So....they would have had to agree to give the pictures. Just a thought!

read the captions - the Advocate took file photos - so once they got to take them in 2006, they "own" them.... wonderfully kind and compassionate, huh...

is this "news" something the family and friends have to see again?

I can not see where identifying the baby and her family serves the greater common good. I can see where it would serve to satiate the voyeuristic urges of the Connecticut Post editorial board.

Don't blame the city clerk - the news orginization likely did a FOIL for the records. It's public information. In this case the news orginization could have not sought it out. The identification of the victim adds nothing. But it's public, so it's their right to publish it. And the city had not choice but to turn it over.

They might not be their pictures - someone else could have provided this. Donna Loglisci would do anything to get her name in the paper and get any publicity with an election soon to start rolling.

Did they check with the company that digs the graves? They will have a record if a grave was dug for that child. If not the funeral parlor has a lot of explaining to do. I hope this is solved quickly.

Could be, I hope there is an explanation other than grave robbing.

It's already bad enogh that Imani has been buried once. I greive for for the family deeply. They shouldn't have to go through this once again.

To be honest I really, really hate people for being so sick and cruel! PLus it's a litle bit disturbing too. Who ever did this should feel guilty and turn them selves in.

I know this family. I can tell you that they are good solid people, all of them. Their belief in human kindness is being tested with these horrible unexplained actions. I do hope the truth comes out and those responsible will pay for what they have done.
2 years ago this little girl stuggled along with her family. She was finally laid to rest and the family started a healing process. To have this all brought back up is just unthinkable and cruel. The Joyner family deserves answers and peace. My heart goes out to them.

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Virgo

If the past few days have been a blur of cooking, washing up and wrapping paper, take a break today and catch up with loved ones. Have a long talk with one of them so you can find out what they've been doing lately, or discuss a topic that concerns both of you. Right now, you're blessed with plenty of diplomacy so the conversation should go well.
