There are 6-8 bars and restaurants right in the same area. 5th Avenue, the Post, the Library, and I can't remember the name of the Irish pub are all nearby and most likely what you're looking for. O'Connors and the Mixx Lounge is there as well.

Tax rates in Birmingham are lower than Novi. So are Farmington, Farmington Hills . Check it out . Also garbage collection is included in your taxes in those cities NOT in Novi. In fact you can have three different garbage trucks coming down your street on three different days which garbage cans out by the curb nearly half the week . Check it out. I lived in Novi for 5 years and gave up . Lived in FH for 14 years. Lived in Royal Oak ( great city) for 8 ..now we moved out of Michigan.

Farmington Hills is a great place to live. If you have high-schoolers, there are wholesome activities for them - an ice-arena, a shating rink, many after-school and weekend activities

I live in Farmington Hills..it's nice here...Its the epitamy of suburbia. Hot summers, Cold winters, many houses for sale, multiple stores and restaraunts. There are TONS of Catholic High schools and middle schools here like Mercy, U of D, Catholic Central,etc..... As for the public schools, they're nice too..unless you send your kid to school in Detroit, But i don't think you'd do that. For entertainment, Emigaine Theatre is in Novi, as so is the Twelve Oaks Mall which all are about 10 to 15 mins away whereever you live in Farmington Hills. They also have glow in the dark putt-putt there. The Holocasut Memorial Center is in Farmongton Hills and was very neat!(I've been there) they have real people form the Holocaust come and speak to you about what it was like for them. There's a place called the Art Gallery, iv'e never been, but when i pass it, they have signs showing them giving art lessons..or something like that.:-). On that same road is Langan's Bowling ALley. My friend's family owns it. Their pizza is AMAZING!!! and bowling is pretty cheap. Speaking of food, a restaraunt that i would reccomend to ANYONE is Roosevelt's Bar and Grill. it's on 12 mile and Orchard Lake Rd. They have the BEST Burgers!! and they make these Chicken STrips that are to DIE for!! The DMC (hospital) and the CHildren's Hospital of Michigan are 30-40 mins away from Farmington Hills. But the Henry FOr Hospital is on 12 mile and like, about 10- 15 mins away. Ihope this local information helped!!!!
