Ms Cacciatore, people die every day because that's the game plan---no more 900 years like in the old testament.

People die everyday because they CHOSE to smoke or overeat "comfort food" or did not exercise--they CHOSE to ignore these simple regimens that are blanketing our media every day---eat right, exercise, don't smoke. Blame yourselves for a do-it-to-yourself experience.

Don't start putting the blame on the health care industry--you know, the one we all feel good about when our stocks in their businesses go up and our retirement seems a bit more comfy- but love to bash in a newspaper.

The Federal Government has no business telling us what our health care should be like and look like and who gets what. That's european garbage medicine, which, as time goes on, you will see strangle itself and then--guess what--they are creating a private medical system, just like the U.S. If you like the government medicine style then subscribe to that plan. We have one in California.

Hey Sam, you missed the point. I doubt Ms Cacciatore is referring to people dying from junk food or tobacco. The issue is with medical insurance providers who charge exhorbidant monthly rates but cover very little when someone actually needs medical services. Your doctor needs to debate with a insurance company employee as to why you need a certain test or procedure. You have a profit-making entity dictating what your health care should be, right now! Their profitability depends on keeping their costs (ie: your medical care) low.

I'm curious...do you have employer-provided health insurance? If so, what happens to that coverage if you lose your job? Under COBRA, you'll pay 102% of your employer's cost, and if you're not working, it will drain your meager unemployment income. If you try to find a "cheaper" plan, trust me, you'll end up getting very little for your money.

As to your comments regarding the Federal Government and it's say-so over one's coverage, do you realize that's EXACTLY what Medicare is?? Everyone I know on Medicare thinks very highly of it. Get a clue...

John Belluardo: You lost me at " He is the most competent and popular vet in the entire area." I hate it when people exagerate and embellish. It invalidates everything they're saying.

I've heard plenty of negative things about Dr. Galvin from former clients that did not have an ax to grind. I don't know what the truth is so I remain neutral. But to say Dr. Galvin is THE most competent and THE most popular vet in the entire area is complete hogwash.

Reality Check John Belluardo!!

Medicare is a mess. Going broke, rampant fraud, and MANY more problems.
If they can't get this working properly you think things are going to get better by adding more people and a more complex system?
Got to be kidding

If you think our country's health care system is not up to your standards now wait until it's run by the government of Obama and Pelosi.
