Outside is not always the best answer. Where is McNamara's expierience in the fire service that he alone can give Crimmins the finalist to hire. Sounds like another bag job coming down the road. If they wanted Dolloff they would have made him chief already and not had to spend a dime to advertise. Every place else has formed committees (including stoughton) of people who know the job, then that committee makes the recomendation to hire. I believe McNamara should be a part of the proccess, but not he alone.
