Matthew 5:3 says: "Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need, since the kingdom of the heavens belongs to to them."

Since there are so many different religions, do you think it matters how we choose to fulfill our spiritual need?

Your religious fulfillment only matters if you care whether your comfort is real or imagined. Since most of us live in our imaginations most of the time, it probably doesn't matter how you choose to fulfill your spiritual need, until you are in a corner. Either you have a helper, or you only have your imagination. The only time tested Savior is Jesus Christ, the author of the Bible. He has put His promises and perspectives in writing so you can read them and compare them to your own experience and make your own decisions after that. If you ignore what He said and promised, you will get blind sided and find youself all of a sudden before the Judge.

No one thinks Jesus wrote the Bible. Biblical scholars, Christian leaders, Papal investigators, and even nut jobs who watch Fox news are pretty much in agreement about that. The Bible was written about 300 years after Jesus died. There is no debate about this among religious people.

That's true. About 40 men had a part in writing the Bible. But it was inspired by God.God directed the writing, much as a businessman uses a secretary to write letters for him. The idea of receiving messages from someone out is space should not surprise us. Even humans have sent messages and pictures from the moon. How did thay do it? By using laws that orginated long ago with God himself.
