I pulled into White River Junction in July anticipating a born-again Vermont town crackling with artistic energy and a glam organic vibe. Full Story

Errr.... ummmm.... I don't know how to tell you this, but somebody at that diner must have badly misled you, or your note taking suffered. The Harpoon Brewery makes an IPA (India Pale Ale), a nicely hoppy beer with a 5.9% alcohol-by-volume content, as well as a non-alcoholic root beer. Also, the San Francisco fire/earthquake was in 1906, not 1907. Given these errors, I have to wonder how much to trust the rest of the article.....

Interesting, Certainly not my WRJ where I grew up, but then again, that is probably a good thing! It is pokey, but it also needs some economic development, not unlike much of the rest of the NE Kingdom.

Hummm, previous post says I'm from "Ludlow, VT", but not correct. I practice massage in an incredible space in Matt Bucy's Tip Top Building in down town White River Junction, VT! My massage room is blessed with one of the many giant domed skylights all over the building that let natural light in . Matt retained the character of the old Tip Top bread factory building while making it unique and hospitable. It has become the work space for a whole host of creative wonderful folks and their businesses. Check our its directory! This building alone makes a trip to White River Junction worthwhile, but you would be missing some of the best any town could offer if you don't check out the rest of White River Junction. Start with David Fairbanks Ford's Main Street Museum (with all its happenings), The Center For Cartoon Studies, The Revolution (with all its happenings) The Hotel Coolidge (with all its happenings, including Mark Vogel's Song Swap Circles on the first Friday of every month),and well I could go on. Yes, we make our own fun, and yes Hawk, "
White River Junction, Its Not That Bad"!
