Good to see Sherburne has moved the volunteer Ambulance into the future. Other volunteer Ambulances now need to just look at how Sherburne’s doing it.

Glad to see they can now recoup some of their costs from peoples insurance. This was a long time coming.

Note in point "Nobodysfool/sevennumbers " I thought you said it could not be done.

Oxford isn't going to do this.

Let's wait and see how many people in Sherburne die because they can't afford an ambulance bill and don't want to call.

On the other hand, this might cut back on the number of calls by freeloaders who think an ambulance is a free taxi service.

A billing agency will be doing the collection. It just makes it eaiser to collect from ones insurance. It is still a volunteer service at this time, but they hope to have some paid members in the future.

Many don't understand just how it will work. I have seen just what this has done for other paid volunteer services and it can work in this area.

This is actually a win, win situation for Sherburne. They now will get some money to offset the costs to the taxpayer for ambulance services.
