Good article everyone else has written and reported half the story here everyone came out a winner and the man has had problems and the family has done what they could to resolve it,the police department has been up front and it seems for now the situation has been resolved.Everyone deserves a thanks including the reporter who delivered the story.

Seriously he was only charged with Disorderly Conduct?!?! Are you kidding me? What about the safety of everyone else in the neighborhood who is living in fear? Something more should really be done, this guy is getting off way to easy.
AND... How is it possible to check yourself out of a medical institution against medical advice when you are suicidal?
NOT RIGHT.

Good Job PO BOFF and all others involved , He should not be given back any of the weapons . Unfortunately He has a history of mental illness and it looks like he will continue to have depressed episodes, he might have wanted suicide by cop.

The scary gun pictured would be a little more scary if he actually had a magazine in it.

The guy was in his house threatening himself not the public. Before people yell for something more to be done, find the law that applies to what he did...good luck in finding that. This situation comes down to how EDP's (emotionally disturbed persons) are evaluated and treated once they're at the medical facility. Not the police. These people should be remanded to a facility by our court system.

BTW...the pic of the cop was after the incident was over and the weapon was made safe and mag removed.

I have known Mike for some years due to his line of business. He has always been a good guy who is helpful and expert in his trade. I believe he has had a number of medical issues for sometime, and it looks like they got the better of him temporarily. Hopefully he will be able to recover and live a happier life.

It is unfortunate that Mike is getting all of this negative publicity. I am a neighbor and Mike has been a great neighbor, always helpful and offering his help at all times. Like Burst stated he has has a number of medical issues that I am sure are weighing him dow. All in all he is a good guy who has hit a tough stretch, sad to see him painted in this light.

They have surrounded the house and blocked the street off four times, guns drawn and Riot gear on.You would think after the police dept met with the residents after the second time it would of stopped. It didn't.My hisband now tells me it happened again but so far twice with another man with guns last week. You have to wonder how safe Norwalk is?

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Sagittarius

Be careful about what you eat and drink today, my prancing Archer. Your body is in a sensitive state, so be well advised and steer clear of anything that might upset you, or to which you're sometimes allergic. Avoid anyone who's a one-man germ factory, in case a few bugs happen to jump out and over to you. Right now, you could do without it.
