last summer a maintenance man who worked for my fathr's probate attorney arrived with a group of other Russians who wanted to see Dad's home. They were with their realtor who said they paid 200,000 less than the contract stated. My son and I were presented as tenants not heirs. The Russian broke in; somehow the attorney was on the scene, and the 2 Norwalk Policemen who responded to our call and that of the neighbors never even came to the door. Somehow the attorney just "happened" to be there...this was the beginning of a horror we've never experienced as attorney #1 had an elaborate plan to obtain my father's assets and eliminate us. The State of Ct's chief attorny says the case is "too criminal" for him to handle as it starts in Norwalk and still has not ended. Any feedback requested, please! The home was 10 Possum Lane Norwalk.

You have to be talking about Richard and Elizabeth Colwell's home at 10 Possum Lane. Both died and the probate attorney cheated the daughter and her son out of their inheritance. I understand that the attorney had a meticulous plan even before Mr. Colwell passed away. The family is getting things in order to sue the attorney for his actions, including multistate attempted murder. This case may also appear on MSNBC.

The story seems farfetched but is absolutely true and has been verified by FBI in the various states involved. My son and I had enough information to have the attorney disbarred;however, he had a meticulous plan to gain my parents' property and to eliminate us. We were shot at by police in Thurmont Maryland; a gps monitor was stashed in the car....we wrote down licence plates. One car followed us 5 different states. A street gang-latin kings-was also involved. Anyway, the material is soon to be published, and the attorney is to be sued for fraud, attempted murder, corruption and more. We were so naive we trusted this man....he took advantage of elderly who were not mentally well (dad needed dialysis). Such corruption was sickening. For example he sent bills for meeting with my son and giving him checks when my son was out of state. We hired another attorney to take the case, but he was harrassed and, after meeting with attorney1, it seems he was paid off. So- nice little Darien- know that there is a corrupt attorney in your midst who will stop at NOTHING to gain the assets of his clients. This attorney will do extended jail time.Which he deserves! Joanne- write again- I know you knew my parents well!

What is the best way to make an appointment with Attorney General Dick Blumenthal ? If not him, who is the best attorney to take on a case of attorney blatant corruption (probate case)involving multiple attemps of murder across five states. This occurred between July and January 1907.

How very sad that you can't even trust an attorney, What this man deserves is not jail time he should be hung from a tree in front of the house he tried to steal. Jail my butt where he gets 3 meals a day and a roof over his head that we pay for. I don't think so. Good luck to the family in retreving what rightfully belongs to you

Mr, Craig, I concur. I happen to know the attorney involved. Appearances can be deceiving.
He continues on at a prestigious firm.

I am afraid to name the attorney in question until my son's and my personal safety are assured. Recall that one of the things the attorney did was to collude in attempted murder. This took place in Thurmont Maryland. He had arranged for latin gang members to place monitoring devices in the vehicle- one of which was discovered in Wyoming when the car broke down and was put up on a lift. The first time my son went to get the car the bank refused to wire the money down- he returned to Darien and they noted a report from the Philly area indicating that he was most likely an impostor. Insane- as he had several forms of ID with him. The hold-up by the bank in wiring funds was to make sure the gang would be at the dealers (near Philly) to sabotage the car while my son filled out the paperwork. It all went through smoothly using the very same ID and account number,

In Maryland, we were tracked like animals and shot at by a policeman who our private investigator has obtained information about and has other officers willing to testify that he took a bribe.
In Maryland, we were almost killed. We were blocked into our room by numerous vehicles which were not there when we arrived.
Conveniently, there was a rolling cement mixer in place- I guess ready to receive us.
The things the attorney did with my family's wishes and funds were ammoral. What he did after we gave up and left the area was far worse.

It sounds like the raving of a paranoic but unfortunately is true.

Mr Craig- thank you for your concern. It is like a case of David versus Goliath. However, the truth always comes out in the end. As it has now reached the point where the attorney's name may soon be given without "alleged" attached.

Lynn- after your suit for criminal activity on the part of the attorney- your story would make a good case for 60 Minutes or some such forum. You are not alone in having had to deal with this "attoney?"s corruption- however, your case is more extreme and criminal.

Attorney tries to have his clients "offed." Sick.

keep us posted!

Yes indeed. One cannot imagine the lengths to which this "attorney" went to steal my parents' assets and give their house to his workers to fix it up so he could resell it.

Even after he achieved his goal, he would not leave us alone and had us chased with intent to harm as noted initially.

I am grateful that some of the major and minor players he paid off have come forward.

I heard about this case from some friends at Roton Point. I do not want to disclose anything which could potentially be used against the daughter who faithfully cared for her frail elderly parents for years.

I have read her journal about her trip West with her son. It seemed very clear to me that the attorney wanted the mother and son killed and their bodies disposed of- with no links to him. Unfortunately for the attorney, some of the people he paid off came forward. This case is very unique and will shock both Darien and New Canaan....

Thank you for your moral support. Hopefully the actions we have taken will prevent this attorney from attempting to ruin lives of his clients in the future.

We are so grateful to those who came forward.

To correct the record, the Norwalk Police did file 2 reports when the Russian maintenance man broke into the house.
One was for burglary and the other for criminal trespass.
The Burglary report is in the computer but missing from the files. Only the criminal trespass report remains. Interesting. We were never informed that any charges were pressed, and it was OUR house that was broken into.

Methinks it wouldn't look too to have a burglar then buy the home he broke into......hence....goodbye report.

However, in the report the perpetrator's name was not given. Only the name of the realtor from Stamford- who said they paid 160,000 for the house- was listed.(The house went for 433,000).(So where did the extra money come from?)

You see how this is a Hall of Mirrors......

I hope things are going well in your legal malpractice suit against said attorney. There have been other cases in which probate attorneys or those handling other large sums have attempted to have their clients murdered.

As we spoke on the phone, you are dealing with an individual with sociopathic traits. The "chameleon" personality we discussed. Your evidence- what remains of it- will lead to the attorney's disbarrment if nothing else. If I were you I would contact the lead attorney in the firm and share with him/her your evidence. Perhaps the other attorneys deserve a chance to dissociate from him.
My husband and I are truly amazed at your resilience in the face of such corruption, coming right on the heels of both of your parents' deaths. This attorney obviously had his plan long before your father passed away. What a disgusting, amoral individual. Will fit in quite well in prison.

it's amazing how long it has taken to get help- but help has finally arrived. This attorney has had too many "connections" among the powerful AND the corrupt gang/mob types as well.

FINALLY things are coming to fruition. We've located an excellent legal malpractice law firm who is as outraged as we are by the case. They have taken the case. Thank the lord.
