Denny's to charge 5% 'Obamacare surcharge'

President Obama's election victory ensured his Affordable Care Act would remain the centerpiece of his first term in power - but that has left some business owners baulking at the extra cost Obamcare will bring.
Florida based restaurant boss John Metz, who runs approximately 40 Denny's and owns the Hurricane Grill & Wings franchise has decided to offset that by adding a five percent surcharge to customers' bills and will reduce his employees' hours.
With Obamacare due to be fully implemented in January 2014, Metz has justified his move by claiming it is 'the only alternative. I've got to pass on the cost to the customer.'

This is, of course, bad news for the increasingly impoverished tiny minority of Long Beachers who pay taxes. "The voting majority" of privileged Long Beachers who receive taxpayer funded food stamps, though, have nothing to worry about.

The wealthy Long Beach political ruling class mandates their pals - the Long Beach business community - provide fat-cat taxpayer supported "the poor" with "free" grocery and goods bags. The cost of this "benefit" is passed on to the voting minority of Long Beachers who do not use taxpayer funded food stamps and EBT cards, in the form of increased prices for food and goods.

The growing number of taxpayer supported "poor" can rest assured that any Obamatax added onto Long Beach restaurant prices will be paid for by taxpayers in the form of EBT cards.

IF I ever eat there, I will be sure NOT to leave a tip. I realize the hard workers at Denny's out out to make a living BUT IF I could ever afford to eat out, I will remind the employees about the Obama surcharge and they can collect their tip from him. It is a shame to see the employees suffer for the stupidly of others but this is America!

Well, sonny, that is a problem the revolutionary political ruling class will have to address.

Businesses will be doing that everywhere. Americans will be glad to pay as much as a 20% increase on everything they use or buy to help defray the cost of
the AHA. The States will have the biggest share of the massive expense. In the Blue States politicians can just jack up taxes again...and, again...and, again. Blue Staters love getting screwed by Big Brother.
Other States will have bigger problems as their elected officials have to do reasonable things for their citizens.

I love how the dems are all saying "why aren't the repubs crying more about the election?"

Note to Dems: the time for you to start worrying is when republicans get quiet. It means they're backing away from the table. Which means the business initiative, and the money behind it is backing away from the table.

Most of you dems do not have that option. You depend on the creators and initiators for your paycheck. You seem to have forgotten that.

Watch the stock market. Watch what you pay for groceries, and eating out. Watch what happens to your monthly rent.

It's learning time.

Fine. We'll just go somewhere else to eat. Enjoy your empty restaurants, Denny's owners. We'll honk the horn as we drive on past.

Hi! I'd like a number one combo and a filet o fish please! Thank you! What? Eleven dollars? For what? A small dollop of meat, some compressed fish from the somewhat radioactive Pacific ocean, and a handful of warm prefried potatoes? Who will save your soul, sir? That's what you should ask yourself. If you spoke English.

Fine! I'll just go to Denny's!!

Long Beach is home to one of the most radical of the incredibly expensive taxpayer funded universities in the entire California "education" system where most of today's revolutionary ideas are dreamed up. As such, the city's political ruling class are always at the forefront of any radical invention that is designed to increase the tax burden that is imposed upon the hated tiny minority of Long Beachers who pay taxes. A most recent example is the politicians exempting "the voting majority" of dangerous tax eaters and taxpayer supported Thug people from the infamous "anti-competition" Lowenthal grocery and goods bag tax.

This revolutionary tactic was sharply honed on the decent hard working women and men who enjoy the simple worker ("middle") class pleasure of partaking in an occasional tobacco product. The tactics employed to heap both psychological and monetary abuse of this tiny minority "wrote the book" (so to speak) and serves as the blueprint for the current abuse of the hated tiny tax paying minority - most of whom are NON-tobacco smokers. They were the REAL target all along, just as was predicted when revolutionary Council began the war.

When I get together with my non-tobacco smoking friends of good-will, I often reminisce about the early days of the current war. After the radical often "university educated" Long Beach ruling class began the war, decent tobacco smokers fled Long Beach restaurants and congregated in "decent tobacco smoker-decent non-smoker friendly" restaurants, such as the Golden Eagle on Willow Street, which is located outside the clutches of the Long Beach revolutionary Council.

It was not long before the "protectionist" Long Beach Council eliminated competition by having their free-spending out-of-control Sacramento legislative pals criminalize hard working restauranteurs who serve hungry decent diners who smoke tobacco.

The result was that, due to their loss of the advantage of economy of scale, most friendly low priced "American family style" restaurants were forced to close, or to convert themselves into high priced "ethnic" theme restaurants. This left hungry diners who do not smoke tobacco mostly with the choice of a couple of greedy Government licensed and controlled Big Restaurant chains.

Whereas the former friendly "decent tobacco smoker friendly" American style family restaurants offered soup, salad, and desert with their low priced fare, monopolistic Big Restaurant chains began increasing prices for their "specials", and began offering soup OR salad - often with a cost for either "choice", as well as charging extra for deserts.*(plus 10% Government eating tax)

Republicans are quiet because they are becoming increasingly irrelevant, and are trying to think of ways to reinvent themselves to get with the changing times. Too bad for them, people dont forget. Unless they are a republican conveniently forgetting about the bush years.
Oh, and who said "why arent the repubs crying?" Did I misread that? All I see and hear is whining everywhere, STILL weeks after the election. LOL.

One of our biggest expenses. Funny how the "fiscally responsible party," aka the GOP, foams at the mouth over trifling expenses, but dont want to make spending cuts in the military. Romney even wanted to INCREASE military spending.

Lets see how the "creators and initiators" do when we stop buying their junk and support more worker friendly local businesses.
