I think its time we get together and stop all this violence...There is something wrong when even the cops are too afraid of the area.

Would you not agree that police feel they must double up before they go in there.
How often do you see them patrol?

You bring up a point...
The doubling up was brought on by
a Sherrifs car getting shot up on
Barnwall a few years back. But that
is not a formal rule anymore as I often
see a single car patrolling,when I
see them patrolling.

Steve,I heard and saw the police respond
in a very resonable amount of time.I would say 2 minutes after the shots I
could hear sirens and a helicopter.

Do you feel this area would benefit from a neighborhood watch? Or do you think any community task force would be futile because most of the inhabitants are gang members?

well that's great. now if the city could create some program's to keep this young kids off the street's and create some jobs . also create a law for just gang members.if caught with a gun ten years max load or unloaded. if thier on gang unit gang list they can't be on the street after 10clock. to get remove from the gang list they must be clean for five years with no run in with the law or amax of five years. let's clean up the street's for our kids.they also must have a job permint after 10 clock and if they dont have a job pay them min wage to clean the city at less 3 times a week they all must be accounted for.or give them the choice pirson or the army.

Steve, Irvine is OC. The police have to watch their backs too because idiots like you cry that there isn't enough police presence but when they start doing their job then you start crying because they gave you a ticket and you start saying they are harrassing you. What the hell?

This is a good idea. Why don't you get a petition going and get the community involved. Call your council person and take a stand. Make a positive influence in your community. You talk the talk, but can you walk the walk?

Concerned,despite your handle I don't
believe you are sinsere. Most of the
inhabitants ARE NOT GANG BANGERS.I
think you are a hater that shows up
under various handles to stir up crap
with wild assertions and nonsense you
can't prove or back up.Ask any police
force what actual percentage of any
known gang neighborhood are actual gang
members and get back to us, sweetie

and you know what else steve the police are kinda scared. they told me i had to be escorted in to retrieve my sons car. and guess what when they were done with the investication they called me and told me thier would be officers thier and guess what when i got there, no sign of the police any were. so we could have been killed to becouse of the color of our skin. i think that something has to be done on how the norwalk police treat people in a time of need. when i went to the police station to find out where my son was they were very rude and really didnt give a care, my son was dead then and i know that they knew it. but until this day i cant even pass threw the city of norwalk. and does it make me hate the people who live there, no it does'nt it just makes me a better person.
