You see your White race does commit murders, and crime, where is the race card on this one, but when blacks or hispanics do something, you all white people jump the gun.

Not that it makes one bit of difference, but "Anthony Deondrea Cain" is a black man (if you don't believe me, look up his name on the Los Angeles Sheriff's web page: Inmate Information). The DB says that one of the victims was a 2nd cousin to Cain, so I am only assuming that the victims were black as well.

So what was your point again?

People of all races commit crimes. If you cut me, I bleed red just like you.

Well said! No matter how the face is painted murder is murder. Ignorant people make excuses and racists come in all colors. Many Blacks prior to his trial considered OJ a white Uncle Tom. He hung out in White circles And his biggest fans and supporters were white bread. Scum is scum and OJ is dumb. Look who's doin' time with bubba. Hope he's wearin' a rubba'.

I see no color in this case. What I do see is person who does not deserve to live, based on the horrible way he took these people's lives. Gas Chamber sounds good to me.

May sound good but we don't have the "GAS" chamber anymore. And even if we did he would never see it...we live in california..Life or Death it's all the same sentence. GIVE HIM TO TEXAS!! They know how to take care of business.

clearly most of the commentators on this page do not know the details of this case. yes the crimes were horrendous and when you look at the case file that jumps out at you. nevertheless the man does have redeeming qualities and death would simply not fit the crime; it is true that in many ways life in prison without opportunity for parole would be even worse than death but the man should be allowed to live - he too is human - - death simply does not fit the crime.

nevertheless - as it stands now it appears the penalty phase jury will impose death - i'd be surprised if it the jury were to hang or impose LWOP. Check back for updates.

I hope he receives the Death Penalty because that would serve as a deterrent for others and it is in fact warranted in this matter!

I would place the execution on pay per view for the “wannabe killers” out there to see while making money for the State budget......... One way to remedy our deficit!

as heinous as the crimes may be the man is entitled to have his fate decided not based on emotion or sensationalism but rather on reason - and if saving money is really a consideration LWOP is much cheaper than the death penalty - google death penalty vs. LWOP costs - inform yourselves!

calif does have a gas chamber. along w/ lethal injection. believe it or not, for condemned inmates they actually give them an option, gas or injection , if u dont choose then u die by injection.

the law on this issue is complex but a 9th circuit court of appeals decision has ruled that the gas chamber in calif. as means of capital punishment is cruel and unusual - that is a bar to its use as the method of executing a condemned - this holding has not been overruled by the US supreme court despite the fact that the latter has ruled that if a defendant chooses a method of execution he or she is therefore barred from challenging that method's constitutionality -
based on this fact I'd surmise CA would not give a condemned the option of choosing the gas chamber. besides CA has amended its capital punishment statute to make lethal injection the default method of execution.
moreover, no person has been executed in the gas chamber since 1999 - that facility has in fact been converted to a lethal injection room. thus, the quoted language is not very accurate.

being white i do no co-sign this message...O.J. is doing his time now and its really amazing how somethin that happened over 10 years ago still bothers u today, so i guess unemployment, world wide hunger and war doesn't bother u as much as O.J.

I agree LWOP is cheaper however, if people pay millions to watch boxing and ultimate fighting matches, they will pay to see an execution and that will remedy the huge amount of monies these killers have already cost the system for their "Appeals" and their "Free Attorneys". I believe that a pay per view execution event will actually make the State money and will probably make enough to pay restitution to the victims.

Not only that but the "Wannabe Killers" might be discouraged after watching that execution on T.V. will serve as a deterrent!

I do not apologize for having no sympathy for the “Killers”. All my sympathy goes to the victims and their families and loved ones!!! You can cry for the Psychopath Killer if you want to as that is your right.

thats news to me.i paroled in 2004 after doing a 6 yr stretch. i saw in the title 15 (rules & regulations book issued to all inmates) a copy of the actual form that a condemned inmate is to sign when choosing his choice of execution. as far as any change in that, dont kno dont care. as long as i wasnt the 1 who ever had to make that choice. either way, thanx 4 the info.
