I have a scanner at home I listen to. It seems every hour on the hour they are asking all the Deputies 10-17. Upon looking on the internet about what 10-17 is-it seems this is a Law Enforcement code that is used to check if the Officer is okay.
Everytime they check the Deputies return with their location. ALMOST 100% of the time they are always in Holton. Hardly ever out in the county! No wonder there is so much crime in the county-no one is patroling it!
I'm not sure what the Deputies numbers are but I know 310 never leaves town. That vehicle is always at the Sheriff's Office or driving around town. What a huge waste of tax payers money! Maybe we should let the Tribal Police, Hoyt Police, Mayetta Police and Holton Police patrol the county-more would get done probably.

Thats just the thing, we in the county are getting ripped off and the cops are sitting around eating doughnuts and dressing up like Andy Griffith and driving that BMW like mad men.

Well, let us not forget that the BMW is an AD car to remind us all not to sell drugs or Cornell will take our car and put it in the parade. I'm going to start keeping track of 310 myself. Did anyone notice that the time he spends out of the office (sig 80) he spends at his father's business??? However, i can understand why we have this to chat about after Cornell hires someone who is a known firestarter. Did anyone ask the Holton Fire Department why he is not a member? They'd be glad to tell you!
Just another disappointed tax payer who knew about all this and voted for Morse. Wish more people read the blog.

T-Roy, maybe you would first want a decent parade car and not a piece of junk. Maybe your criticism should be aimed not at the deputy, but the man that hired him to score some points with the downtown folks.

With all the burglaries shouldn't they be out on the streets? The only one I see on the Streets is the Sheriff, and shouldn't he spend some time at the office?

Good to see the Sheriff's favorite Commissioner leave. Maybe he won't get his way all the time. Maybe she can get a job and help pay off all the law suits.

I agree. My thoughts were also with the drug dealer who's "car it was supposed to be." Like he really cares about the car? he probably has the money to bond out of jail cash and then buy a new one....
I should clarify to all reading the post that the name T-Roy should be not construed as "T-ROY." I'm clarifying this point because after the post, 310 apparently read my posting and raised hell assuming he knew who it was....310, it is an open public discussion board. Anyone anywhere has the freedom to write what they feel and express their feelings.
To the real "T-ROY", sorry that this post raised questions about you.

Now, now, boys, we should all try to get along and support our sheriff. He is the finest one we have ever had.

Man you guys are concerned about the county folk and we are grateful you do. But let's not forget the poor soles who have to live with the Hoyt, Mayetta, and Tribal Police Departments. If the employee's of these departments make minimum wage they are grossly over paid. These losers are the Donut Dumbasses. If you guys really were concerned about the county you would find a qualified lawman to run for the Sheriff position and not any of the leftover Durham Druggie Deputies who were the most wasteful, disrespectful underqualified, undignified, gutless, bunch of druggie losers ever teamed up anywhere.

Durham Druggie Deputies? I have nothing against the man, but wasn't Danny Howerton a cog in the Durham group? If so, what are you saying about your own boss? Also, where did the all powerful over sheriff fit in with that group? I can understand you not respecting previous administrations, that's to be expected in the dirty little world of politics, but it doesn't even sound like you respect your own current administration. Do you have no respect for anyone, or are you just one of the handful that are known to be trying to get Danny on the outs with Charlie so that you can try to get his job?

Durahum was agreat sheriff did all she could for all her employees and yes there is good and bad in everything. Are there dirty cops sure but there are more good ones. I know some of these officers bust thier ass to do thier job to the best of thier ability. Cornell works harder than any sheriff that we have ever had and is doing his best to weed out the bad & dirty cops.Lazy officers yes we have some but more officers care & try hard to do thier jobs. Give credit where credit is due.The biggest problem this county has is the jail use to make a small fortune for the county now it runs in the red which hurts everyone. The jail adminastrator is not qulified & has had time to prove that he could make that jail make money like it use to&has failed we need a qulified jail adminastrator so the county can have the money it use to.

I believe in time if the county would quit cutting the budget than we would have one of the best sheriff's offices in the state like we use to. We use to have officers good ones that begged to work for our department and in time we could have this again. The jail needs to make the money it use to when Fred Baier ran it. We made money for the county and at least the jail staff knew they were safe. The way things are going you are going to have a CEO leaving in a body bag. It is tragic.I use to work there & felt safe you couldn't pay me enough to work there with the way things are done now.

implies from your own words, that the current sheriff does not meet your definition of "qualified" and your current under-sheriff by your own definition (not mine) is a member of the "most wasteful, disrespectful underqualified, undignified, gutless, bunch of druggie losers ever teamed up anywhere"

Where has the Sheriff been? He only missed 5 days in four years, but has not been seen in over a week?
