Bucky's Goals are :

1. Work hard to re-gain the towns reputation , among tourist and neighboring towns .

3. Community Envolvement

5. Protect & Serve , so community members will feel safe
6. Readily available
7. Welcome visitors & be courteous
8. See the town Prosper & flourish

Bucky plans to attend proper training for his job discription & is willing to be taught .

RESPONSE:
You raise some very valid points. When anyone is hired for any type of job these same questions apply. This is not about bashing Teddy, but it IS about time for a change. Remember back when Teddy ran for this position? He was a young guy, playing in a rock band and had held numerous jobs, none of which included law enforcement. Well, here’s Bucky. He is about the same age as Teddy was, and he’s a family man who’s worked hard at his own business and also works part-time and would like to do more within his own community. What we do know of Bucky is that he is ambitious; he works very well with the public; he is well respected around town; he is very professional & reliable; he is polite and friendly and he is very outgoing; he is dedicated to doing a good job; and most of all he has the desire to make a difference within our community. Aren’t those the traits we are looking for in a constable? Anyone who has applied for and started any new job knows that there is always a period of orientation and training. No one walks into a new position knowing everything there is to know about the job. We go in armed with our life and work experience and learn more as we go.
Bucky is eager to gain his education in law enforcement and begin making a sensible and positive difference in Island Pond - with his eyes wide open!

Bucky is a good kid...nice smile, always a hello, but..he is just a kid, if he wanted to do law enforcement, he should have started a year ago training. Bucky said he was raised in island pond, funny, i dont remember him as a student of brighton elementary, i do however remember him as a young teen, maybe he should look back at his school report cards to refresh his memory of where he grew up. I have to wonder how many other "memory lapses" he has in his statements? He says he wants to be close to the town youth, be there for them, well...it has been a very long time since he has been seen out with his own son, wouldnt he want to be there for his own family first? There are alot of questions out there waiting to be asked, maybe this isnt the best place to do this, but i think bucky should get his own family in order, after all, being a public servant, shouldnt you set a good example by how you live your own life and manage it before you set out to help people with theirs? I believe everyone should live as an example to others in hopes that they would follow suit to become the best they can be. Bucky says he has nothing personal against officer miller, yet he ALLOWS bad words, untrue statements, and badgering of town voters to go on in town in hopes of swaying their vote. Is not the type of person i would want to come to me in an emergency.The voters of island pond are smarter than what they have been given credit for, and come voting day, this will be a proven fact. Bucky...i think you need to take some time to think for yourself, in private, go over everything that has been said and done, then make up your own mind as to how you will manage yourself, not by what others manage for you. Officer Miller has been a good friend to you, and your family, even at that time when your father joe, cause alot of trouble for island pond, made life miserable for miller,officer miller treated you with respect and kindness.

Teddy Miller was a drummer in a band and a meat cutter at the market. He is a step brother to the Goulets.
The voters of Island Pond will make up their own minds when they get behind the curtains of the voting booths.
I never see Teddy with his family walking around town. Have they ever been together at a parade or school function. I don't think I've ever seen Teddy standing with his wife anywhere. But, I am not personal friends with either candidate and know nothing about anyone's marriages or divorces or where they went to elementary school. Does that matter?

What matters is Island Pond and how our tourists/guests are being mistreated by our local constable, no matter if he went to Brighton, was a meat cutter, drummer or whatever. He treats people miserably and is a bully when talking to people he pulls over for such minor infractions. He is also a stretcher of the truth (I don't want to say liar), as proven by his letter in the paper the other day.
That's why it's time to vote for someone else.
My vote will be for Bucky.

Yes, i do know ted and his family. I have always found them to be very sweet people, with cares and concerns for everyone they meet. If you are ever out and about in the afternoon, you will see them together going for a ride to the store,or stopping for a lunch in a local resturaunt, and as far as being in public, yes, you will see his wife many times helping him set up for the parades, and taking the traffic stops down afterwards, plus she is always in the crowd, and if you pay attention, sometimes you can see his family with him in the car at the front of the parade. It must be very difficult to always be in the same place together when you work different times during the day or night. As for all this nasty publicity you read, how about taking a few moments out of your buisy day, and when you see ted sitting downtown, or in the store, stop...chat with him for a few miniutes, take time to see the person,i believe you will find he is a kind, generous and humorous person, one who you may like to visit with again.

My guess is, you never had any family members or friends that have been picked up by Ted either for some pety thing & had been treated rudly ,

Real nice caring person!!! Every time I go down town, he has some one pulled over. Saturday afternoon he had two women which I know in a van that are in there mid 60's pulled over on Derby st. I'm sure they where enjoying the nice sunny day until he came along. I see him have some one pulled over just about every time I go to town. I just cringe every time I see that.... This driver lives on a fixed income and now has to come up with $200.00 when it can go towards her home heating oil tank..... Real nice caring person, Haa!! When the badge goes on, watch out......

What would be so rough about it? He as been the constable for 20+ years and considering the state that the economy is in IP is very busy on weekends. The businesses are doing well or at least seem to be busy.

I am not sure about voting for anyone that can’t even run his own campaign. IP is a small town and one should be able to run his own campaign unless he is letting everyone else talk for him and if that is the case then he is just a puppet that has strings attached and they are being pulled by other people. The town of IP doesn’t need that.

Ted did have some training when he became elected to the constable’s position in IP. He was and still is an Orleans County Deputy Sheriff and got all his training there before he became constable in IP. He still trains under them to keep his training up to date. So yes he was trained before coming to IP and if he doesn’t get reelected as constable which would be a big mistake on IP part, he will still work in law enforcement. He is his own person and he need to have people talk for him. He will be retiring soon and IP will need a good constable that will do what needs to be done not what a few people tell him to do. As I said before we don’t need a puppet with strings attached.
