Go to Troutdale and try there fine dining. The food is great, and you cant wait to go back for more great choices. Also check out the bar after your dining experience, and have a drink , relax in a loving atmosphere of the mountains of virginia.

Huddle House makes pretty good food, but the best time to go is when the married couple (the husband cooks and the wife waits on tables) is on nights that they are working. He's the best cook they have and the wife goes out of her way to make her customers happy. I've been in there when they weren't working and wondered what happened to the rest of them.

KFC makes good food, too, when they don't get the chicken underdone or overdone.

Nuts is way too expensive for the type of food they sell.

Bonanza has went down the tubes. I don't even bother eating there anymore.

Prime Sirloin does a better job than Bonanza, but I still don't care for several things they serve on their buffet. I'd stick with a steak dinner if I went there.

Romano's has excellent steak subs. I don't care much for their pasta meals, but the steak subs and the salads are really good.

Mr. Gatti's has it's good days and bad days, but seems like every time I go in there, they have different people working. I also don't care for seeing men with long hair and beards messing around my food without their hair being tied back and a clean shaven face (or at least get rid of the beard).

Roma's in Wise isn't worth my money or my time going to. When I spend $9 for the lousiest sub I ever bought in my life (plus a tip for lousy service), I don't waste my time going back to.

Dairy Barn in Wise is a good place to go. Their food is really good and not over-priced. Their hotdog chili isn't as greasy as most places and they fix a delicious burger. Good cole slaw, too. Nice and creamy.

Applebee's is way over-priced and the food isn't all that great, either.

The Asian Cafe is expensive, too, and although their interior decorating is exquisite, I've had much better food in other oriental restaurants.

Mi Finca has really good Mexican food. If you like guacamole dip and white cheese dip, they have the best! I like Little Mexico, too, but their portions are much smaller and their dips are runnier. I actually prefer Mi Finca to Little Mexico, but that's my personal preferenace. Their prices are compatible, but if you compare the quality of the food, you get better value for your dollar at Mi Finca. Mi Finca makes better deep fried ice cream than Little Mexico's, too.

Not a place that has eat-in dining, but Caudill's Market is one of my personal favorite places to eat. Mrs. Caudill makes the best homemade gravy for breakfast. It's not made from a mix like these other restaurants. She actually makes gravy that IS homemade. Delicious!!! Their burgers are thick, good and juicy. Their steak subs are delicious! Their super BLT's are really good. I have only 2 things about Caudill's Market (located on East Park Avenue in Norton where Glenn's Friendly Market used to be) that I could find that would improve their business. Put a few tables inside for customers to eat inside and they need to make a creamier cole slaw. But they give you good food value and large portions for what they charge, which is comparable to Hardee's prices and it's made to order and not a fast food. Very good! I like them much better than Nuts!!!

Frosty Bossie in Coeburn makes pretty good food, but their shakes don't taste like they used to anymore. Too much artificial flavoring.:-P

Quiznoes in Norton makes really good subs. I prefer them over Subway's subs, but I prefer to eat them inside instead of getting them to go because I don't like the way they've changed their packaging when you get them to go. They spill half the stuff off the subs when they try to shove the subs in those little bags now.:-(

Big Boy's Pizza in Coeburn has REALLY good pizza. The only drawback is they are pricier than other pizza places.
