And they shouldn't have a problem paying for it since they demand you pay upfront for services now. It's all about the money, not the health of the citizens.

When did they start that? I got a procedure done in August and they gave me a discount for paying up front. They would have billed it. In November I had tests done and they billed me on it. What all do they require up front payment on. All services?

Most of the surgeons and anesthesia people don't work directly for the hospitals anymore. Since other companies have came in and taken over, most of them are considered 'self-employed.' My father in law worked strictly for Lee Regional for many years and then when a different company took over, he works at Norton and in Big Stone but is not paid by the hospitals. So my point is, when you say it's all about the money to them, some of the workers there don't feel that way and think that it's wrong to ask for payment up front. Blame the big corporations, they're the reedy ones.

NCH has been steadily declining in the past several years, and once mountain states health alliance took them over, they got even worse. They suck, dozens of great doctors left because of the crap the hospital pulls. It is the most piss poor excuse for a hospital in the entire Appalachian Mountain range. If you need a good hospital, Pikeville Medical Center is the best around, hands down!

Yes i agree Pikeville is but what most people are not understanding is that the prepayment policy started when the OBAMA Care was introduced into healthcare. Therefore the question still remains of why the prepayment. Please use your own judgement on that part but due to OBAMA Care this is not all that will change and remimber none of this started until OBAMA Care started....

You are so full of $hit. Obama had nothing to with the decline of NCH. Leave it to an ignorant redneck to introduce political garbage on this forum. By the way, its "remember" not "remimber" dumba$$! Also, it is called "The Affordable Care Act" not Obamacare, moron!
