If anyone in Norton is thinking of going to Norwise, don't! They treated me through my entire pregnancy as if it were no big deal, they gave me no information at all about my pregnancy other than heartbeat and she's fine. They never offered and 3D ultrasound, the ultrasounds I did get were not pictures, they were printed on pink computer paper. I do not have a single image of my child in my womb that you can tell what she even looks like. This is my first child and I was so disappointed and saddened by how I was treated. Now that my daughter is here, and it has been a year, I am worrying about the birth control I recieved from them. I got the implanon in february, I have started losing more and more hair in the shower everyday. I have had horrible back pain, terrible pain in my hips that causes me to not be able to sleep and have difficulty walking some days. I have had cysts on my cervix removed since giving birth once, having two pap smears come back abnormal. All of these things are a side effect of the implanon. And I was never told any of this by the doctors at Norwise!!! This is reprehensible to me!!! I cannot believe a doctor would just not give a patient this information! I am so upset. Now I find out the implanon can also cause a woman to stop ovulating and will not be able to concieve without doctor and drug assistance. I am so upset with all of this information. Thanks to these so called 'doctors', I am now terrified! No one go to Norwise! This has been the most upsetting experience I have ever had!!!!!!!

This is the absolute worst place to go if you are with child. I will not go into details, but they don't care about anything but MONEY. Go to Abingdon. You will given excellent treatment, you will be well-informed, and the doctor's will treat you like they care, not like they're wanting to rush you in and out and schedule you a c-section because they're sick of waiting for your kid to drop.

I had a terrible experience here too. If you're looking for a Dr try Jeff McQueary at Seasons in Bristol, he's wonderful.

I have private insurance and my sister-in-law, who was on Medicaid, got enough pictures to fill a FEW pages in her baby book. I had a total of four photos. Honestly, I think they treat people better who are on Medicaid, HA!

I too had an unpleasant experience with Norwise in 2002. My baby was a very large baby, and I feel the doctors let me go past my due date. It was my first child, and the baby weighed over 9 lbs. when born. I had a very LONG, PAINFUL vaginal labor, and lost a lot of blood after having the baby. I was so tired I couldn't hold the baby for two days. I had quite a few physical ailments after the delivery for three years after. When I got pregnant with my scond child I went to Kingsport, TN. to a different practice & had an awesome experience! Had great care throughout pregnancy, and delivery went wonderful. So glad I drove the extra hour to Kingport! When I was at Norwise I sat for an hour to two hours before being seen! When I went to Kingsport I drove an hour & 20 min. to get there, was seen by the doctor within 15 min., and was back home in an hour & 20 min. Driving to kingsport, seeing the doctor & driving home was still faster than at Norwise!

You obviously don't know anything about birth control you don't ovulate because that's how it works as for the other symptoms u need to see ur doctor those can be signs of many problems besides stupidity. Abnormal paps are from STD's not birth control or delivery issues. The doctors and staff at Norwise are wonderful I wouldn't go anywhere else the only complaint I've ever had is the long wait times and I actually feel good about the fact that they are so busy with so many patients to care for I always get a little worried if I see a Doctor who doesn't seem to have many patients there has to be a reason so many people go to Norwise and continue to go there many people have delivered all their children there

Actually, abonormal pap smears aren't just from STD's. They can be from STI's and precancerous/cancerous cells. I had always had normal paps and when one came back abnormal, a biopsy was done and it was precancerous. Not some "STD"...

Also, I have had both good and bad experences at NorWise. Dr Zibdeh was the WORST I have ever dealt with. I was always man handled and ridiculed. No information or advice was ever given. But the second time around, I saw Dr. Freundel. She is AMAZING! VERY informative and supported my choice of VBAC when no other dr there would. Also gave me laboring options other than "laying in bed." After seeing her, I prefer her over any other doctor anywhere!:)

Lmao is about all I can say STI Sexually Transmitted Infection duh. & 90% of pre-cancerous cells are caused by STI's/STD's. Which is what a Pap is actually for. The CDC has now said women under 21 donot need paps because in general their bodies are healthy enough to fight off these STD's and reverse their effect

WebMD says:
The Pap test, also called a Pap smear, checks for changes in the cells of your cervix. The cervix is the lower part of the uterus (womb) that opens into the vagina (birth canal). The Pap test can tell if you have an infection, abnormal (unhealthy) cervical cells, or cervical cancer.

A Pap test can save your life. It can find the earliest signs of cervical cancer. If caught early, the chance of curing cervical cancer is very high. Pap tests also can find infections and abnormal cervical cells that can turn into cancer cells. Treatment can prevent most cases of cervical cancer from developing.

Getting regular Pap tests is the best thing you can do to prevent cervical cancer. In fact, regular Pap tests have led to a major decline in the number of cervical cancer cases and deaths.

I made the choice to drive an extra hour to see doctors in Tennessee, because I had heard horror stories of NorWise, but I had heard a few good stories but they did not out weigh the bad! Plus Norton Community is not the best hospital either.

Web MD quote pretty much said nothing new

HPV is diagnosed by a test if your test was wrong don't blame the doctor. However it is more likley that you do have HPV and your body is healthy enough to suppress it so if you had a positive report then a negative one your body is doing what it is supposed to do & fighting the infection

This place was terrible! The staff was rude, the female doctor was rude and disrespectful. They skipped basic things like taking my temperature, listening to my lungs, heart ect. I was not interested in a few of the tests, but was insulted and forced to do them. Informed consent is non existant, which is a violation of my rights. I asked for my medical records when I went back a week later for my ultrasound, in them was a letter to my general doctor. She hadn't listened to a thing I said. She flat out lied about certain things, possibly to make me look incompetent? If you value you or your child's health, do not go to this office!

I read my medical record when they left it open on the desk while taking my bp and walked away. in it was a report that I was a drug seeker because I was watched through the glass windows when I left the office immediately getting on my cell phone. I was getting on my cell phone cause I was upset after the visits and calling my husband who couldn't be there with me due to his job. But I was judged by my actions by a desk employee who reported back to the lady doc. the result I had to have a complete hysterectomy and I felt like I was not treated with compassion at all. And for the record it was completely private ins not Medicaid.

Doctors can't predict how you single person will react to this hormone you're taking. If you can get in here, you're capable of going to drug.com and read the side effects. Everything you're complaining about is basically WHAT BIRTH CONTROL DOES you're all fools. Crap one day I went ASKING no BEGGING for drugs for my pain and vomiting while very pregnant, no where in my folder THAT YOURE ALLOWED TO READ UPON ASKING (not like you're a ninja and they messed up leaving it there or something) did I claim I was a drug seeker. Crap I got INTO it in the parking lot with my dude, and no one watched me lol. Oh my god that secretary singled you out left her desk and phone and other clients to stalk you. All of you grow up go take care of your children stop gossiping on topic. That's what PTA & "quality kid time" is for

Toolate-they did seem very judgmental, and I was literally a stranger they had never seen before! One of the girls working there even said while taking blood for prenatal work up, "this is so we know what you HAVE" um... maybe all your other customers are sickly druggies or disease ridden whores, but I'm not!
Lady doctor assumed my baby was unplanned and unwanted, which no one said. My husband had to correct her, and this was all mentioned in the letter to my real doctor, possibly implying I was tricked or forced into pregnancy? The entire letter sounded like she was setting up to later try to have my child removed by cps, but it was all lies. Not even sure how she came up with some of the stuff, like that I stopped taking birth control because I didn't like how it made me feel. Never said that, I actually loved BC, but ya know, wanted to have a baby...
