People need to realize this is a KILL SHELTER. You take your animal there thinking it will get a home, but you are giving them a DEATH SENTENCE. If the owner releases a animal to them if not adopted within a few days they are euthenized. They give the animals that are picked up a week so their owner has a chance to claim them. PLEASE SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR ANIMALS

U mean to tell me u would like most of those mutts on the street? Eatin outta ur trash, possibly biting a child? Id rather them control the population for me so i dont snip their ass myself. If u lose ur dog its ur fault. And if it takes u a week to realize, well i never thought of the animal shelter, then it is what it is.....get another one, or adopt one from there for that matter.

you picked the right username...... What an ass (hole that is) These animals didn't ask to be put on this earth and they sure as hell don't deserve to be killed!! Take ur trash to the dump & don't leave it on the friggen street, other animals besides dogs get in trash that's left out, Alot of those dogs are nicer than alot of people!!!
You must be as cold hearted as a dead person to be so cruel to animals, i hope someone as cruel as you works in the nursing home you have to go stay at during your last years on this earth!!!

Animal Lover2 you said it, ass hole for sure. This person will get their day someone will snip their ass. The ones that take care of Gods animals will be rewarded. These animals didn't ask to be put on this earth. It's not the animals fault if a person would feed their animals they wouldn't have to get in the garbage to find something to eat. If people would spay and neuter their animals, these animals wouldn't have to be euthanized but let them have just one litter and where do they end up, at the shelter.

They have some really beautiful animals right now and will be euthanizing Friday at Noon. Go past Norton Community Hospital toward Appalachia to the Industrial Park and you will see the Norton Shelter sign it's up on the mountain across from Mulligan Lumber

Yes,that is what you are doing giving these loving animals a DEATH SENTENCE! I will never take another animal there. I took an animal there thinking it would have a chance to be adopted.Boy,was I wrong!! They put that animal down right there and then. The reason they told me was because my husband wanted his carrier. That was a poor excuse to put an animal down. I have cried over this many times. That animal was a healthy and beautiful animal. PLEASE DON"T TAKE ANY ANIMALS TO THAT PLACE!!!!!!!!

You wouldn't believe what beautiful animals they have. When a owner releases a animal to them they do have the right to put them down right then. I really think that people don't understand that. This is never ending and people won't spay and neuter. It's not the animals fault.

I was one of those people that didn't know that they could put an animal down right there andthen. I had read in the paper that if is was a stray it had least days to be adopted out to an animal that belonged to someone.I do understand if the animal is sick, then it would be put down right away. Yes, they do have some beautiful animals there. Wish I could and able to take all of them.I love animals. They have that uncondition love!

They keep strays a week to give the owner a chance to claim them and owner released can be put down right then or they might give them three days. If you can get on facebook and help repost these animals pictures it would be great.

It's a shame so many animals being euthenized because people won't spay and neuter

All shelters are the same. There are too many dogs and cats for them all to be adopted out. The best chance is to get your dogs and cats spayed and neutered. There are sources out there to help you. So many people say they can't afford it - but how do you afford to feed your animals, etc if you can't afford $60 to get it spayed? Please think about getting and animal - especially if you do not intend to care for it properly.
