I would just like to say that I am transferring all of my prescriptions to the new pharmacy in Norton. I had been going to Wal-Mart the last few years but I decided to go to the Grand Opening a few weeks ago and his staff was super friendly and very helpful to me. You have to wait an hour to drop off at Wal-Mart and days to pick it up. Just wanted to let everyone know of my good experience there.

I've transferred to the new pharmacy also, due to wal-mart is always packed & they lost my medication for our daughter once, their not that nice anyway. This new pharmacy has a drive-thru, their very nice & helpful, no long wait.

I'm a little nervous about that. I heard the reason it took him so long to open is because he couldn't pass his boards.

I appreciate the first few comments. I assure you those weren't made by myself or anyone affiliated with the business. I wasn't aware this site existed until someone pointed this thread out to me.

We're still steadily growing and I appreciate everyone that has given us a try. We have a workflow and automation in place to minimize wait times, but not at the cost of safety.

"I'm a little nervous about that. I heard the reason it took him so long to open is because he couldn't pass his boards. "

And don't believe everything you hear. I passed all my boards the first try. I have 2 undergraduate degrees along with a doctorate in pharmacy.

It took so long to open due to all the red tape involved. Putting all of that together all by myself was no small undertaking.

Jay, are you the pharmacist that worked in the Coeburn pharmacy?
Or the Norton Community Hospital per chance?
Just curious, as I may have had you as my pharmacist in the hospital in 2005.
Take care all,
Kitty

Actually, there are several pharmacists named Jay in the area ... 3 that I'm aware of, including myself. The one in Coeburn still works there. I know the one from the hospital also. I'm from the area, but I didn't move back until about the middle of last year to open the pharmacy.

I did volunteer during a summer in the NCH inpatient pharmacy, but that was years ago before I was even in pharmacy school.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Sagittarius

After all the excitement of the past few days you're longing for the chance to put your feet up and take life easy for a while. Ideally, you should bury your nose in a good book and be left alone until you resurface for a food transfusion. But you'll also enjoy chatting to someone you know very well and for whom you don't have to make a big effort, such as a close relative.
