This is the Adirondack Park!!! If you cannot survive without cell phones just dont come here. If you want to visit the north woods to experience a little of what it was 100 years ago then come on up. It seems most flatlanders come up here, cut down all the trees, build a dwelling with all the city amentities and plant grass, and then come up here and spend their weekends mowing it. If this is what you want then why not stay home. You would be more comfortable being a lawn mowing couch potato right at home.

Welcome to everyone. We are glad to have you here. I only hope that people realize that there are places that cells don't work. We can't put a cell tower on top of every hill and that creates places with no coverage. We Adirondackers rely on cells too and we know better than anyone that they don't work everywhere. So just be prepared for that and come on up and enjoy the little piece of Heaven we live in.

My first trip to Lake George last year made me realize how much DON"T need my cell phone. What a peaceful week. I can't wait until I go up again this year. I will leave my Phone at home.
